I haven’t tackled it yet but I was planning to… wouldn’t it make more sense that you could simply purchase a membership for any level, either as a one-off or a subscription, give the resulting code to someone, and when they sign up to the site they just enter that code and it’s redeemed?

Although you do have access to all of their plugins if you go to their GitHUb directly which is cool

Thanks for looking into that. I am using the Aardvark theme which includes bbpress and PMPro but I haven’t got any Approvals-specific code. I was having some resource issues on the server and 503 errors so it’s possible the plugin update didn’t complete properly. For the next update I’ll keep track of everything that happens more clearly if there’s an issue, cheers!

That’s odd, I used the WordPress admin to upgrade. However, upgrading manually by uploading the zip file and extracting into plugins/ did the trick, thanks for the response ??

We have no problem with the immediate access once people pay by PayPal, we just wanted to be able to approve people using the Pay By Check option (we actually use the bank deposit variant of this) – we don’t want to give them access until we’ve checked the bank to see that they have paid first. But we want members who have paid via PayPal to get immediate access without the approval step.
Is this something that you’d be able to assist with if we upgraded to PMPro Plus?

Just a followup question – is there a way to make the approval process only apply to Pay By Check registrations? People who pay directly via PayPal for example should not have to wait for someone to approve their account. Is this a feature I can request, or is there a hack I can make to the code to allow this?

If you disable Yoast and use the “fixed” rtMedia do you find the user’s profile media page in your theme is now corrupted, as per my post above?

I a having the same issue but when I follow the instructions you’ve provided I get the following errors:

The Media page in my BuddyPress profile no longer shows my images, instead I get the section titles with numbers next to them and the following text:
