Ahhh, I just found an old post where a moderator recommended going back to the original blog and resetting the password. Done that and now it works fine.

I wonder if this should be added to the FAQ maybe??

Just noticed that the functionality looks like it’s there in the edit-php file

$my_drafts = get_users_drafts($user_ID);
$pending = get_others_pending($user_ID);
$others_drafts = get_others_drafts($user_ID);

… I’m wondering if it only works with other users’ posts that are pending review with the admin. Trouble is, I’m the only user on my site…

Any ideas? Maybe it’s an easy code change in that file?

I just tried that and without the get-sidebar functions included it shows no sidebars at all.

Actually, it got me thinking about other themes and after a little investigating I found that on some other themes search php the get_sidebar functions were at the top of the page so I tried it and it now appears to work fine.

It was previously at the bottom of the page after the

<?php endif; ?>

and all I did was include it at the top of the page after –

<?php get_header(); ?>
  <div id=\"container\" class=\"clearfix\">

Thanks for the reply though drmike, it helped to get me thinking along the lines of it being a problem with the search php rather than the css.

What would be really nice is if there were some way to remove the new upload block from the edit page as well…

Managed to fix the problem but had to alter the core files to do it unfortunately.

There’s some code in the admin’s index file that sorts out what happens if the number of drafts is less then 15 so I changed them all to 150…sorted. There were 3 instances of the “15”.

Thought I would share in case anyone else didn’t like the way that WP deals with drafts by default.

Cheers MichaelH. Not really a workaround though. I don’t really need another page to have to navigate, just all the drafts showing on the write page.

Anyone have any ideas?

The fact that some people have loads of drafts would be a good reason for them to all be on show wouldn’t it? At least give the option for them to be so.

It seems strange to think that with all the extra greatness that comes with VV2 I’ll have to click on this link each and every time I need to write a post!

Very strange, I hope someone has a work around for this…anyone?

Please don’t see this as being ungrateful, I’m not. I think WP is amazing, I’m just a little stunned at this particular functionality choice.
