Okay, I have some web site functionality, i.e., a few pages are popping up. The podcasts page, about me but not the home page. What’s strange is my home page reverts to “https://boricuaconfidential.com/godlyparenting/” which is not the homepage.

Restoring the go folder is harder than I thought despite backups.

Suggestions?

Even for feed burner?

I’m really lost. I have no clue even how to restore my manifold backups. Wouldn’t this be solved by restoring the dBase file into the root directory?

The problem is if I do that my RSS feed won’t work. I never wanted it in another directory in the first place. My goal is for people to simply enter “boricuaconfidential.com” and voila! My web site.

Something worked because the blog posts in my slider are accessible from the root but I can’t access any other featured posts including the most recent.

After moving files, step 8, got the following error:

Now I can’t even login to my WP site despite resetting it in control panel. Can anyone help?

Okay. I am unable to backup the .htaccess file. The murky instructions assume I know where and how to find and backup this file. Furthermore, I apparently have zero access to any of the files. I’ve clicked on File Manager, Directory Privacy, FTP connections, FTP accounts, Backup and Backup Wizard. All I get is a timeout error.

I can only access boricuaconfidential.com/go/wp-admin. Of course, when I click on posts, it times out again. I think I backed up my SQL dBase. I backed up my entire site last week but now can’t understand why I can’t do it this week.

I need step-by-incremental-step instructions. I know nothing about this stuff. The assumptions made don’t work for me. Please advise.

Please forgive the delay in responding. I have PTSD and all of this is very overwhelming. I had to work myself into finishing this problem. Will be reading and trying to resolve today.

Thank you. I’ll likely get to this next week. I’ll let you know how it turned out. I just wanna write and post. Such a simple concept blocked by tech details. Oy!

I’d certainly entertain your suggestion but according to feed burner, if I’m having trouble getting my RSS to work–and i am, it is because i’m not in my root directory. The files already have been moved. My goal is to rid myself of the go folder and all of it’s contents.
