I think, we found the source of the proble, account was hacked.

The comment fields are full the DB is bigger than allowed therefore. So we look for the spam code which fills the DB and prevents from logging in.

How to delete about 100.000 comments?

Exactly. And when 1&1 is not willing to provide it – then I am the looser. Right?

I also think, that this in not the problem. In the same account I have a 2nd WP installation which does not have the problem. The guys at the 1&1 support did not even try to solve the problem. I had to send the docs 3 times. Then they said, everything is ok. on their side…

As I already wrote, most of these actions I already took. But when renaming the plugin folder (even when all plugins are inactive!) the input field come up. Now i have see to switch on my plugins one afte the other again…

Lightbox is ONLY working in Safari, not in Chrome and Firefox on a MacBook Pro. On the iMac (PPC) it’s alo not working in Safari ??

So I think, the solution will be somehow complex…

My Weblog https://blog.hr-schmitz.de is still 3.0.2 and lightbox2 is working well there. In all other weblogs with > 3.0.2 lightbox2 doesn’t work, not with an old jquery and not with other themes.
I mailed to the developer but did no get an answer yet. He seems to be traveling somewhere without connection to the Internet…

I cannot change to an other plugin, would have to rewrite my posts of the the last years! So I will not upgrade until it’s working again.

The problem is not yet solved for 30.0.4 to 3.0.5. The same error:

After the update procedure says ?updating the data base? the comes the message after about 1-2 minutes that update could not be completed and to try it some minutes later. What does not work. To reactive the weblog I deletes the file ?.maintenance?. After that everything seems to be ok.

I compared all files with the locally downloaded version; they are all ok. But if there remained inconsistencies in the DB I do not know ??

It has be mentioned that the upgrade process only fails on STRATO installations. It works pretty on Servers from 1&1. I think it’s up to the WP team to solve that because we are not able to force STRATO and perhaps others to adapt their systems.

Thanks, yes, that was the reason, It happened when I was copying parts by c&p; I did not mark correctly. This way a closing bracket and semicolon where missing ??

There are 2 fields in ?options? which have to be observed…
