    Hi Telos,

I noticed in your previous discussions, a number of members also want to hide the comments and media tabs. Is this doable? Only to show their own comments and photos?

Also, up the top Mine | All | Published | Draft | Trash can we do something about it? Only to show their own posts?

    Many thanks,
    Will

    Hi Telos,

Where do I insert this code? I am using WP 3.0.1, is it in the admin-functions.php?

    regards,
    Will

    Thanks Telos.

I have read the link above. That was very innformative. Thank once again for the info.

I am relatively new to WordPress… just wondering for the above scenario, would it be better to have Multisites?

I want this site to have multi-authors (main purpose is to write posts) similar to other blogging sites for example hubpages etc… from the administrative point of view, the standard version is sufficient right?

    thanks,
    Will

    Thanks ipstenu.

Are there any existing plugins that can redirect users to the front end and do their posting there?

    Hi Andrea,

no…. the wp-signup.php is ok but the wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and the wp-login still use the default WP theme.

Is it to do with the theme of wp-login.php doesn’t pull in the style from the theme?

    regards,
    Will

    Hi Andrea,

I just played around and changed to another themes and the registration form came up (the Gimme the site etc).

I guess I just need to try a few more to get my head around it.

    thanks,

    Hi Adrea,

    Just one more question,

this is the wordpress.com signup page. What plugin do they use?

    regards,
    Will

    Hi Andrea,

I just had a second look at your comment there

The *registration* page is different. yourdomain.com/wp-signup.php will pull in the style from the theme on your main site.

I am still getting my head around this:
So, I can use any theme that is relatively new i.e. compatible with WordPress 3.0.
The wp-signup.php will use this theme and the registration form will come up correctly?

You know with the WordPress multisites, user can choose between Gimme the site or Just username. This is handle by wp-signup.php?

    regards,
    Will

    Thanks Andrea.

Sorry, I am relatively new to WordPress.

    I see.

Another word, I need to find a plugin for login that matches the theme I use or find a theme than also provide login page.

Are you any registration plugins that work with the new WordPress 3.0 multisites?

    regards,
    Will

    Thanks Andrea.

    I downloaded a number of login/registration plugins.
    Theme My Login
    My Brand Login
    etc…

I am using the TwentyTen theme.

Obviously, I want to change the login / registration page to match with the theme. The default allows you to choose a sitename. Are there any new plugins that work with the new multisites?

    thanks,
    Will

    Thanks Andrea.

“they can then be added to a specific site on the network” by the site admin or super admin? or user can do it themself?

I have another question. This is a very simple one (but consider I am new to wordpress, it is a big thing for me)

    I am using TwentyTen theme
The title points to the “home” page which by default lists all the posts.

How can I have a Home page on it’s own. I want to have the title points to another page, set up a Home link in the menu and have another link to list all the posts.

    regards,
    Will
