In reply to: Custom Header Image option not showingWell, it turns out that the documentation for Admiral is in fact incorrect. Although it explicitly states that the feature is available in the theme, I received an email from them that says it doesn’t.
Anyone got any good solutions for ADDING a full-width header image – a plugin perhaps, or a code tweak?
Thanks!

In reply to: Custom Header Image option not showingThanks for the quick reply.
The Admiral theme explicitly supports it, according to their docs. In addition to 2019 I also tried the other themes I have lying around of the 20xx variety, but I suppose they may have the same limitation.
However, the fact remains that Admiral is supposed to support it and the docs include screen shots showing it.
While I will ask in the theme’s forum as you suggest, my strong suspicion is that this is a system issue and not related to a specific theme.
Any further suggestions anyone?

In reply to: Changing the URL without changing the file locationYes, this worked brilliantly! Thanks for persevering with me!
The only issue I have currently is that images in posts are not displaying. Going into Edit on the entry and then simply clicking Update (no changes made to content) fixes it on an individual post basis, but can anyone suggest a bulk method?
Many thanks once again!

In reply to: Changing the URL without changing the file locationThanks for the pointer: but this starts from the position of having installed WP in the root directory and indicates how to move it to a subdirectory.
I suppose I could infer how you could go about the opposite, but I am not certain what would apply and what wouldn’t. It’s a sizeable blog and I can’t afford to screw up.
My installation is already in a subdirectory, and the site is accessed via a subdomain that points at that directory. I want to leave the files where they are, but change the installation so that it works when the root URL points at it.
Unless I am mistaken, this differs in several key respects from the article you suggest, but thanks for pointing me at it all the same!
