    Hi,

Thank you for your message, Weglot support team here!

From what I can see, those undesired translations seem to be related to a search result page. Here, I would recommend trying to exclude this page or maybe the block that contain the search result manually.

To do so, you can follow one of the method described here: How to exclude URLs/blocks/words from translation?

Can you try and tell me if it’s working as expected?

If not, can you contact us at [email protected] and ask for Guillaume? He’s one of our engineer and he’ll personally be here to help you ??

    Keep me posted,

    Have a nice day,

    Kind regards,

    Hi Olivier,

Thank you for your message, Weglot support team here!

Can you try to add the following code snippet either through the plugin Code Snippet or directly at the end of your functions.php file and tell me if it’s working better?

    add_filter( 'weglot_validate_button_option', '__return_false' );

If not, can you contact us at [email protected] and ask for Guillaume? He’s one of our engineer and he’ll personally be here to help you ??

    Hi Habib,

Weglot Support here. Thank you for taking the time to write a review on WordPress.

I perfectly understand that our product seems to fit your translation needs and it sounds like your experience with Weglot can be improved, and we would be happy to help you, as best we can, to improve your experience with our product.

I’ve checked and it seems that your website approx. contains 60.000 words as you can see attached and by following the link below
    https://wordcount.weglot.com/uaHR0cHM6Ly9oYW5uYWNlbnRlci5vcmc=

It seems that you’re currently managing two translated languages in your project, and so this is the reason why the Business plan doesn’t seem to fit the translation needs, as the Business plan is limited to 50.000 translated words.
As you can see in the documentation below, the word counter consideres the number of words of your website and the number of languages you’re managing. If a word is translated in two different languages on your website, it means that the word will be translated twice and so will count as two translated words.

Could you contact us back at [email protected] (you can ask for Chris) so we can follow this discussion to improve your experience with our plugin.

    Hi,
Weglot Support here, we hope you are having a great day.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write a review.
It seems that your experience with our product can be improved, and we’d be glad to help you, the best we can, improve your experience with our product.

Note that proposes options to optimize and control translations generated on your project.
Weglot proposes an option called “Automatic content translation” you can disable in your Weglot dashboard > General. This option, once disabled, will generate the translation but it will not be considered in your word counter unless you manually validate the translation.
It means that you can keep the plan you want and master the word counter.

In the meantime, if you’d like to reduce the word counter, I can propose you two awesome features that will help:

    • Weglot offers the option to?detect?potential inactive translations.
If a translation has not been seen for a specific time, Weglot can flag the translation as “potentially inactive”.
In this case, you’ll be able to remove those “potentially inactive” translations if you judge them as currently inactive.
I’m pleased to send you the documentation about how to find and remove potentially inactive translations.
      https://support.weglot.com/article/288-how-can-i-remove-inactive-translations
    • Weglot proposes an option to suggest potential translations that can be merged in order to help you save translation credits, as you can see by following the link below.
      https://support.weglot.com/article/302-how-can-i-add-variables-to-my-translations

All these features can help you maintain the plan you want to keep with Weglot.
I’d be really glad to help you further.

Please contact our team at?[email protected]?so our team members can discuss your concerns in more detail.
You can ask for Chris, our Head of Support, so he can personally take care of your demand and help you improve your experience with our plugin

    Hi,

    Thanks for your message.

If you no longer see the settings it means that you could have try to work with our Switcher Editor feature into your Weglot Dashboard (see > https://support.weglot.com/article/349-how-to-use-the-switcher-editor).
Could you contact us at [email protected] and provide us with the email address of your project so we can help you reset the switcher setup and help you further?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your message.

As this is a custom language switcher, the help we could provide is pretty limited. It means that Weglot can not help further place the language switcher where you want.
We advise working with our default language switcher and you’ll then be able to place it where you want on your website thanks to the processes as presented in our documentation below
    > https://support.weglot.com/article/348-wordpress-how-to-change-the-position-of-the-language-switcher

Regarding the language code weglot_get_current_language() function that will return the language code of the current language. It means that if you click on the Spanish language, then the main language will display “es” thanks to the function above.
Otherwise, I’d advise to maybe try with a custom JS code to dynamically replace the current language with the language code.

    Hi Simon,

Thanks a lot for your message.

This error seems pretty specific. Could you contact our Support team at [email protected] so they can investigate further?
They need in a first time your website URL and the email address related to your Weglot account so they can investigate further and help you with your demand.

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for your message. I’m glad to help you out.
The anchors (fake links) are only available on non-WordPress projects as they are working thanks to our LibJS.

On WordPress projects, could you try adding the translated URL directly as “href” of the language link?
For instance, for a Spanish translation, the link could be

    a[href='yourwebsite.com/es/']

Repeat the process for all your languages links.

NB: By doing this process, you’ll need to exclude the languages <a> tag from the translation to prevent Weglot to replace this link on the translated version. (See => https://support.weglot.com/article/95-how-to-exclude-urls-blocks-words-from-translation)

Let me know if it works better this way.

    Hi,

Weglot Support here, we hope you are having a great day.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write a review. It seems that your experience with our product can be improved, and we’d be glad to help you, the best we can, improve your experience with our product.

In fact, Weglot is translating your content but also hosting your translations and translated pages while taking care of the multilingual SEO for you.

Additionally, Weglot is making sure that all your content gets translated automatically (even if you add or modify original content).

There are indeed a lot of differences between our service and a browser’s translation widget, the main one is that a widget only provide client side translation and therefore, your translations are only local and not detected and/or indexed by search engines (such as Google bots).

Please contact our team at [email protected], so our team members can discuss your concerns in more detail. You can ask for Guillaume, he’s one of our engineers, so he can personally take care of your demand.

Note that Weglot generates a translation every time it meets new content, that’s why it’s able to translate your whole website in a few seconds/minutes.
Weglot matches a translation with specific original content. Knowing this, when you’re editing your original content, Weglot doesn’t find the matching translation and so creates another translation to match this new content.

About the Exclusion, indeed, as long as an URL is excluded, it means that the page should no longer be translated, so this is the reason why no changes can be done on excluded pages. By excluding the URL, we also assure that the SEO of the excluded page will not penalize the SEO of the original version of the page.
Note that when you create an URL exclusion rule, you can enable the option “Delete translations linked to matching URLs” in order to decrease the word counter.

About the Automatic translation providers, we try to work with DeepL as much as possible and for specific language pairs, we propose Google or Bing as a provider. If you’d like to test another automatic translation provider for a specific language pair, we’d be glad to propose you this option. Don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

Regarding “you have to confirm every automatically translated string?for it to be visible.” this is only the case if you have manually disabled the specific options “Display Automatic Translation” or if you have manually enabled our “Pending Translation” feature, which are features mainly proposed to let you the choice to validate every single created translation.

Finally, if you’d like to reduce the word counter, I can propose you two awesome features that will help:
