I haven’t worked much with wordpress.com but you should be able to just export your content and import the xml file on the other end. Hopefully this helps.

Go into your settings and uncheck “Anyone Can Register”.

As esmi said, you need to let the forum know what you’re having troubles with. For what it’s worth, WordPress is much easier to get the hang of compared to other CMS out there, like Drupal and Joomla.

If I’m understanding correctly, your site happybones.ca is redirecting to happybones.wordpress.com? If this is the case, can you at least login to the admin for happybones.ca? If so, your site address may be different than your WordPress address and you need to change this in the General Settings.

So then is there not a forum here where I can discuss premium plugins at all with other users? Some times I like to talk to other users rather than vendors.

@wpyogi I’m not really looking for support. Just wondering if anyone using it has tried because it’s a pre-sale question and I’ve been waiting to hear from Gravity Forms for a while.

I had the plugin active when I was trying to change the css. I found that deactivating it, editing the css and then reactivating it seems to work. Thanks for your help.

No worries about your English. =) It is a strong possibility that Subscribe to Comments Reloaded could be conflicting with your other plugin. I am not the author of the plugin so I wouldn’t know how to get the two to work together, if indeed they are conflicting. I would get in touch with him to get some more specifics. Sorry I couldn’t help more.

In regard to my last post, only un-check the email notification boxes if you don’t want notifications to anyone. I apologize for not reading closely enough and missing your second comment. By default, though, WP sends notifications to both the admin AND author (I just recently discovered this) so un-checking the email option will prevent both from receiving them. Your issue isn’t that you don’t want ANY emails, you just don’t want the admin getting them.

I haven’t used it but it seems to accomplish what you need (only sending notifications to the author). Let me know if you have success with it.

If I’m understanding correctly, you’ve created new Authors and new Posts using those Authors?

I attempted to re-create your situation and had no problems. I received follow up emails on all around (admin, author and the email used for making comments). Here are a few questions:

If you are not receiving the follow up emails, are you receiving them with your admin email? If yes, check your author’s spam folder. If no, check in your Discussion settings to verify you have checked the box for “Email me whenever: Anyone posts a comment”. By default, WP emails the Admin AND Author. I just recently learned this (like most, I assumed it only emailed the admin). So you will need this option enabled.

On the main settings page for the plugin, it will show a list of users subscribed to the posts. Is the author one of them? Also, visit the post logged in as the author. Underneath the comment box where it gives subscription options, it should say that you are subscribed.

Assuming you are subscribed, it is only a matter of receiving the follow up emails. So check your Discussion settings and your Author’s spam folder.

Have you unchecked the discussion setting that sends an email whenever someone posts a comment? I believe this may be checked by default when WP is installed.

Dashboard –> Settings –> Discussion –> Email Me Whenever –> Uncheck “Anyone posts a comment ” and “A comment is held for moderation”, if applicable.

I actually downloaded Maya Shop right before it became a premium theme. =)

Looking back on this, I can’t believe I was unable to find an answer for quite a while. Oh well!

The theme wasn’t the most flexible, to say the least. I was able to achieve what I needed with some JS. Problem solved.
