In reply to: WP uploaded but displaying wrong theme?New development so i read on further and enabled the permalinks by adding a htaccess file in wp-admin, and the issue of displaying ‘page can’t be found’ is resolved.
HOWEVER
The issue of where is my local host designed wordpress site is still a mystery?
I spoke to 1&1 my hosting providers and there answer was that i have to design it online and not off? Is that true is the weeks of designing offline been wasted? Or is there an error i have made somewhere?
My incompetence is very frustrating!
p.s the files of my offline produced site have been uploaded and are on the server just not displaying?

In reply to: WP uploaded but displaying wrong theme?Yes, i enabled it via the dashboard and it went to the theme evolve pro but none of my offline site showed just a basic starter set-up, i tried to write a basic post but the site then gave me an error message of can’t be found (404 i think?).
I have tried to upload a new downloaded of wordpress and renamed the files on 1&1 as i had with my first upload and it wouldn’t work at all?
All the files/pictures are there in the directory but the dashboard isn’t seeing any of it expect the plug-ins and themes.
Any Idea’s?
