Hi Everyone… I have updated to 4.2.1 three times! It keeps reverting back to 4.2. I get an email from Wordfence security that I must update! Very strange. This has never happened with an update before. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you Lee for the link. Apparently when I changed it to be secure… the opposite happened. It is already cached so I don’t know if it can be undone. WP Tavern has an interesting article on this. I have to find out if Yoast is a problem or not.

Mine corrected itself after I deleted the alternative text from the photographs in my media library.Hope this helps.

Dear Mike and Linn… If you installed Tiny MCE Advanced plugin… You have to set it up. It’s easy. Go to your Dashboard. Click on settings and you will see the Tiny MCE Advanced. Click on that and you will see a drag and drop of all the buttons. You choose which ones you want in your visual editor. Save settings and you will see your visual editor the way you set it up when you are in pages or posts.

Please help! I did a google fetch for the homepage and summitted the index. I deleted the text from the images in my media library. Google is still not picking up the meta description I have on Yoast SEO… it continua to pick up the old text from the photos on the homepage. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dear Peter… I came across this information on the google webmaster tools site. I have not tried it yet. Yahoo and Bing are pulling my meta description. I did a google fetch for my homepage, but I may have to give it some time to see if anything changed. This article explains how google sometimes pulls descriptions from an open directory. I am having the same issue… but I assumed it was my Google XML Sitemap creating it. I also have WordPress SEO by Yoast. When I google my site it pulls text from the pictures I have featured on the homepage instead of the information I entered into the meta description.I deleted the text from the pictures in my media library… but it remains the same on google. Would love to sort it out!

Hello Arnee… I just updated to the newest version( I thought I had since I only installed it a few days ago). I clicked on the pages and it is not showing my home page which is really important. How do I add it? Thanks for your help!

Hello Troy… I am having the same issue, It is really important to me that the search engines pick up all my static pages. The other thing is that it is not apparent WHICH pages are on the sitemap. I posted earlier today … I don’t know if I can click on them to find out… but that still would not solve the problem of adding the missing ones.

Hi Virendra… I do know how to create pages. What I am trying to learn is: how to create a page that looks more like a poster… with a large background image with text written all over it. I want this for one page on my site only… NOT the home page. Any info on this will be most appreciated. I do not want to play with code. Thanks, Rene
