I have tried the support ticket process about this 4 times in the last month or so. For one thing, when you log in and go to the support page, it does not show you any open tickets. You can only start a new one. Then it opens a chat window that says if you don’t get a reply within a few minutes, you’ll get one by email. I’ve never been responded to in the chat within a few minutes and I never receive an email. After starting a new request, I do see my last post from 3 days ago in the chat window, but there’s been no response. I do not see a way to forward a suspicious email via that support system. Only a chat window. I did originally copy and paste some of the suspicious email content. In my last post I asked to have my account deleted. No reply, and it’s been 3 days. I also do not see an account number anywhere in my profile, so I cannot even verify that the one shown in the suspicious email is really my account number. That would be one way to confirm that these emails are bogus. Based on my experience, I can only conclude that Woo’s support is very poor.
Even after disabling the plugin, “Login designer” still appears in the menu when viewing the website on a phone. I put the page into draft mode for now, and that removed it, but obviously when it’s in that state I’m back to the standard WordPress login screen.
Now it started working. All I did was go through the settings again, leaving them as they were because I couldn’t find anything incorrect, and saved it again. Weird.
I deleted the restriction, then added it back. I am no longer getting the JSON error, but the restriction isn’t working at all. Logged out users can access the restricted page. The protected content is a page:
This was not a fresh install. I am trying to edit a restriction that has been up for at least a year. The restriction works, but I want users to be redirected to our custom login form rather than the default WordPress login form. To do that, I need to enter the custom URL of the page containing the custom login form. But content control won’t let me save the restriction.
Maybe I should try creating a new restriction and deleting the current one. I thought maybe the JSON error itself would provide a clue because it refers to “line 1, column 1”. I have no idea what JSON is or where it is found.

I checked the content control log contents and there are no entries since October 2023. I only have one restriction on the website, and when I try to change the protection from Login & back to Custom URL, after entering the URL and clicking Save Restriction, I get the JSON error.
Following. I created a custom login form with WP Forms, then embedded it in a page named “login”. That all works, but when I add that page’s URL to Content Control using redirect, Custom URL, it ignores the URL and sends people to the WordPress login screen instead.

That worked. If there was a bulletin from Astra about that, I must have missed it.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Need to change email recipientI need this feature too. I am the site admin, but a different person manages the job listings and is not receiving the notifications. We use WP Mail SMTP as our mailer.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Email notifications to admin undeliverableThanks. It turns out the other admin user does not receive any notifications either. I sent a test email to the WordPress admin address, and I received it. So, I believe the WordPress and email server are working. I might have to install a plugin to be able to test the WordPress system notifications, or I will just install WP Mail SMTP.

Hi Bobbie
No, I did not change the theme. I have BD and Elementor running together without any problems on a couple of other sites. Those sites, and this one, all use the Astra theme. So, like I said, the only difference is that this one uses Elementor Pro instead of the free version. But you just made me think of something. The Astra Agency Bundle comes with the Ultimate Elementor Add-on plugin. I just tried deactivating it, and what do you know? The problem goes away. So I suspect the Pro version of Elementor and that add-on don’t get along. Why BD was the casualty, I don’t know. But it looks like this did the trick.
It turns out the issue only exists when both Business Directory and Elementor Pro are activated at the same time. I guess I need to contact Elementor support.

In reply to: [Astra] Custumizer is not workingI’m getting a similar issue…my sites are hosted on GoDaddy too. When I click Appearance ? Customize, after about 15 seconds I get “Secure connection failed”. If I deactivate the Astra Pro plugin, the problem goes away. I have submitted a support ticket to BSF.

In reply to: [Astra] Internal Server ErrorI get a “Not Found” error when I click your link.
Is the error you get “Secure connection failed”? I’m getting that when I click Appearance > Customize, but I found that if I deactivate the Astra Pro plugin, the problem goes away. Activate the plugin, problem returns. This is happening on 5 of 8 sites where I have Astra installed. I’ve launched a ticket with Brainstorm Force. If I get a solution, I’ll post it.
