Good luck. I’ve moved on…not going to use this theme. I found one that does what we want. Although it still doesn’t facilitate a sidebar with widgets in the main section of the home page, it does support putting them in the “footer sidebars”, which is a satisfactory compromise as long as there’s not a lot of content to push it too far down the page. FYI: the theme we’ve decided to use is Screenr.

In reply to: [Screenr] Header image no longer displaysI actually just identified and fixed the problem. I was changing the image in the “Header image” section but didn’t go to Frontpage sections > Hero > Items, and change it there. It was looking for the previous image, which had been deleted.

In reply to: [Screenr] Change page body text colorQuite possibly, but we only installed this yesterday and may have more questions before being satisfied the theme does everything we need. Looking good so far. Thanks.

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Removing left title column in homepageNot sure if this is what you mean, but try this:
Customizer > Theme Options
Select One Column instead of Two Column. You’ll still have the title, but the body text will be below it and aligned left like your title is now.After applying this in Customizer > Additional CSS, I still get the underline upon hover. I’d also like to change the colour on hover. Adding:
a.hover {
color: #f2d337;
}did not work ??
I’m looking for a solution to this same issue. I will add that the sidebar template’s effect on the front page content, that is, pushing everything to the left, also affects the featured image for pages added to the front page via Theme Options. Only the first header image remains full width.
Also, it doesn’t seem to make a difference whether you choose the sidebar page or default template on the pages. They all get pushed left.
Thanks.

Thanks, but that didn’t change anything. All content below the first header image is still pushed to the left as if there’s a sidebar there.

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Adding Text Overlay on Featured ImagesAny progress Morphim? Looks like you were trying to do exactly what I’d like to do. Instead of the content being in spaces between the featured images, I’d like text and widgets to appear on top of the featured images in the sections. And I know it’s possible because I had a theme & child theme installed that does it, but they had a bunch of other things I didn’t want so I couldn’t use it. You’ve actually gone a step further in creating the semi-transparent boxes. Hope you’re able to share a way to do it.
Thanks for this…I’ve been struggling with this all weekend. I still can’t get any widgets to appear in the static front page, or any sections added via Theme Options, although the content, including the section pages’ featured images, have moved over to the left to leave space for a right sidebar. There’s just nothing in that space. I’m using Widget Manager Lite to specify widget visibility, and it’s working on all pages except my static front page.
When you create a new page with no parent, it’ll automatically add that page to your menu.
The code above did not fix the issue for me. Since no help appears to be forthcoming, we must move on.
At last, someone replies, and it’s not just me having this problem! I can tell you that since my last post we’ve had partial success on one sandbox test site by upgrading WordPress from 4.4.2 to 4.7.2. Apparently there were issues with permalinks in 4.4.2. However, I’ve tried installing SSP on another website that’s already running 4.7.2 and it’s behaving the same as I described above, so I’m not confident we’ve found a solution.
It’s been more than a week and I still can’t get this plugin to work at all. The URLs shown in the Settings > Publishing are wrong. Or, podcasts are not being uploaded to the location those URLs think they are. Bottom line is, I can’t play or download a podcast after uploading one, because the files are not where the plugin thinks they are. They get added to the main WordPress Media directory.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction soon. My client is getting antsy.

In reply to: [Icecast Now Playing] Does not refresh?Never mind. I found my own solution. A plugin called WP-Auto Reload Widget adds the ability to state a refresh time, in seconds, to any widget. I tried it, and it works. However, I’d have expected this to be a function in the Icecast Now Playing Plugin. What good is it to display only the song that was streaming when you first visited the page, and keep displaying that forever? Unless I’m missing something. But with the other plugin installed, I got it to keep up with the playlist of the feed.
