The feed is valid, so this must be something server side. You may try using a USER Agent to see if you can gain access to import the feed, please see – https://kb.wprssaggregator.com/article/136-failed-to-fetch-feed
The lightbox opens in a pop-up window on your site, while self goes to a different page altogether.

This doesn’t seem to be a valid URL for an RSS feed either according to W3 Feed validator – https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.modernhealthcare.com%2Fhealthcare-rss-feeds
It seems to be a webpage, if it was valid before, something may have changed in the interim.
Please find an alternative feed source URL For it or inform the owner their URL is no longer valid as a Feed Source URL.
Please try recreating the feed and starting from scratch if it detects still as invalid.
If you continue to get an invalid message, try using a Feed URL creator and put the URL there to customize the feed URL. It’s also possible there is something not parsing properly in the URL Path that the validator isn’t accepting.
Caching plugins can interfere with dynamic plugins such as ours as it can cause duplicate posts or interruption when trying to import as caching plugins try to serve the last version of your site based on site visit and not always the latest version of your site.

Can you please detail to us what it is your are trying to accomplish with the core plugin and why you would need to disable our scripts?

During testing it seems the feed is able to pull in fine on our local and demo sites.
I would highly suggest retesting for conflicts and rebuilding the feed source from scratch by deleting it and adding it again.
Those errors are nothing to worry about and do not affect the current performance of the plugin.

Please try deleting the feed source and creating a new one.
Be also sure to check there are no extra characters or extra spaces as this might cause it to be read as a different URL.

It seems you need these for Posts as Feed items which is a premium add-on.

The PHP notices should not affect functionality, however, if you are not able to import any feed items, please go through this list of troubleshooting steps:

I have tested your feed source and it is valid and working: https://articles.angelpicturesandpublicity.com/category/pundits/tricia-erickson/feed/
However, if you view the actual feed source link, it only provides 10 Feed items at time.
Starting from the “Mitt Romney Article” to the “HB2 Article”, so if that is the same range of 10 Feed Items you are importing in, this would be correct.
