Same issue. Weirdly it works perfectly in dev, but throws up this error on an identical site on live.
I found Essential Addons for Elementor to be the best of the crop, however I’ve now moved away from Elementor completely and use Oxygen instead.
The only false thing around here is your response. Are you on the development team? Doing a bit of astroturfing trying to rubbish people who paid good money for this crappy plugin? The breach that occurred due to the third-rate programming capabilities of this team affected thousands of people all over the globe. Who cares if it was a couple of months ago! We’re supposed to suddenly trust them because they’ve got some special certificate that says they’re on the level now? What a joke. You are right though – they do need to clean up false reviews – like yours.

In reply to: Missing Visual EditorHad this issue with an upgrade to 3.2.1 – just thought I’d let anyone with a similar problem know that in my case, disabling the plugin Embedly cured the problem.

In reply to: Abort class-pclzip.php error when installing pluginsOkay. Got to the bottom of this myself. Zlib wasn’t enabled in the php.ini file on the server. Added the appropriate extension command and everything’s fine again now.
Same problem. One of my favourite new features of WP is the automatic upgrade – hate going back to FTP upload.

Fixed: Latest update of the plug-in 3.4.5 I think – fixed the issue and I no longer get the above error. Thanks to the developers.
