It is not possible in the free version. Please keep in mind I did not create the wordpress.com version of Gateway that is why there are differences.

I apologize as I was testing this with Gateway Plus not Gateway free. I couldn’t get it to work by moving it on the free version. Sorry for the confusion.

I can confirm that moving lines 78-86 between line 32-34. All I can suggest is you might want to re download and start from scratch to make sure something was copied over by mistake.

Try moving 78-86 between line 33-34.

If you look at https://github.com/RescueThemes/gateway/blob/master/template-home.php

You would move lines 34 to 74 and copy it between line 8 and 10.

Sorry, there isn’t a way to use the post featured image as the inner pages header image.

There isn’t an option to swap these around. The .com version was based off my theme but they changed somethings. One being the content being above the featured posts, where in my theme it is below. If you are comfortable with html, you could edit the template-home.php and swap the sections. Be sure to copy that file to child theme.

I just realized you might not be seeing the Customizer > Theme Options > Blog because you aren’t looking at the Blog page. The Customizer is smart enough to only show you options for the page you are currently viewing.

Also, what do you have set in Settings > Reading > Front page displays? Is it latest posts or static? If it is static, what do you have set for Posts page?

I just realized that I hadn’t pushed the latest update to www.ads-software.com. It does include the Customizer > Theme Options > Blog setting. I will try to get this uploaded today.

We did not create the wp.com version. Automattic which runs wp.com created a version of Gateway based on our version. Confusing I know. It looks like you can download the wp.com version from https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/gateway/ the link is under Stats and info.

You would have to change the template-home file to query 4 posts per page instead of 3. Also, change the template-parts/content-home.php div to be 3 columns instead of 4

All the positions should be “first” except for the last one, which you should name
“last”
