header- Yeah, sloppy. I should work on it.
nav- for some reason I was going to leave it out. I can’t remember what my reasoning was, but I apparently was smoking something pretty heavy. Yes, I should probably put some nav in
horizontil rule- that was also sort of laziness. I guess I should probably change it
validator- I personally don’t think it matters that much. www.ads-software.com does not validate, though going through the errors I see things that should be fixed

Some sites get 80% of their users at 800×600, some (tech blogs, etc.) get only about 5%, you should take a look and see how many users you’d be alienating. If it’s not a lot, then yeah, bring them out of the stone age

In reply to: WordPress backupwhen you backup and save your database, you have a copy of all wordpress data on your blog up until that point.
assuming you have it off site, you’re ok even if your server crashes (though you’ll lose things like theme files and such).
If you need to restore, simply upload the database,and then upload the wordpress files and fill in the wp-config.php file with the database info and you’ll have a running copy of wordpress with all your posts, comments, categories, and all that
