Looks decent, a couple things-

in the sidebar hovering over a link goes from

font-weight: normal

to

font-weight: bold

That’s the worst hover effect in history. Get rid of it, ASAP.

The content column looks prett crip, on the bottom bar, I’m not sure about the grey background, it’s kind of dark. Maybe lighten it up to something like e2e2e2. Also, move the “about” section from below the list of recent posts to under the search so the footer’s not so big vertically

yeah, I’d turn off commenting, upgrade, install akismet, and then live life normally

generally it’s not a biggie to post here and the mods close it after you give contact info. to get a better response you might want to post at the wordpress pro mailing list (https://lists.automattic.com/mailman/listinfo/wp-pro)

that’s for people asking for and offering paid wp services

1. Your load time is absurd. Your host is crap, your internet is crap, or you’ve got a crap plugin. WordPress is normally blazing fast.

2. Most of the SEO stuff is fairly crap. There have been numerous threads here, and it’s generally agreed that WP is plenty good for SEO.

bluehost is great, dreamhost is so-so.

asmallorange and mediatemple are also very good

I’d recommend switching hosts. and if you do, the standard set of well-liked hosts is bluehost, a small orange, and media temple. godaddy and yahoo tend to cause headaches for all involved

When you’re writing a page that you want to use the links.php template, you have to set it as the links template on the sidebar thing by the post box
