In reply to: hidden site meter from WordPress?shortstat has been known to screw with your code. I like sitemeter, but unless you get a paid version then the TOS dictates it has to be visible.

In reply to: Security Alert? A7A php mailerI don’t think this is a wordpress security flaw. Sounds more like an issue with your host or your passwords

In reply to: artblog – wordpress and zenphotonice work with k2, I saw this on those forums but didn’t get around to commenting on it.
the bullets are an ie thing as they don’t show up on firefox. The verticle nav in the header is cool because it’s original.
The sentence in the header that says “Paintings and drawings by Gene Kinnamon” looks weird. put it at the bottom of the sidebar. I don’t like how links lighten on hover. Instead of going to that lighter color, I’d keep it at that dark color and just make ’em underlined
the links in the sidebar should match the links in the content
other than that it looks good. I like the background images you’ve used

In reply to: Comment in external page ?yeah, the comment template loads post-specific comments, so putting the php tags on a page wouldn’t get you a certain post’s comments

In reply to: Error: Could not find the template function: TinyMCE_advanced_….That’s odd. The function is the one that calls in the WYSIWYG editor if I’m not mistaken.
Try going to Users–>Your Profile–> and in the bottom left corner unchecking the box that says Use the visual rich editor when writing
If that doesn’t work try downloading a fresh copy of wordpress, deleting /wp-admin and replacing it with the new one.

In reply to: Ultimate Tag Warrior1. You’re doing something wrong. UTW does this. If you look in the readme that comes with it, it should give you the php tag to use for the cloud
2. Tags are not within categories. they are seperate unless I’m missing something. You’ll have to do something manually or create something customForum: Plugins
In reply to: what is <?php wp_head(); ?>I think it adds a hook for plugins to insert stuff into the header. I can’t image adding it to the index.php file would do any harm unless you have other plugins that are using the hook that are supposed to put code in the header but that would then put it in the index file…
anyone wiser than I know?
Theresa, did you read our posts? wp has absolutely nothing to do with this. They have zero responsibility to help you.
Doesn’t Word Press have a disclaimer on their help site that says they will help people contact the blog authors whom they host? I definately saw this disclaimer, but no one has responded to my repeated requests to put me in touch with the author of this blog.
And I quote:
Note before contacting us: Please don’t send us legal takedown orders or threats, we don’t actually host every WordPress blog in the world. If you don’t understand that, you probably shouldn’t be sending legal notices anyway.
Who is the person responsible for Word Press? I am seriously going to get an attorney involved in this matter if I can’t get a concise answer for whom I should contact with an invasion of privacy matter.
Go right ahead, but all you’ll be doing is wasting hundreds of dollars. again, wordpress has NOTHING to do with any of this. It is purely your job to figure everything out. The fact that the person is using wordpress on their site does not in any way make wp responsible for helping you, and I’m better your emails will continue to be ignored.
Your best bet is doing a whois lookup on the domain
The analogy: If your name appears in a MS Word document and you’re not happy about it, you don’t contact Microsoft. You contact the author.
That might explain why Bill Gates hasn’t replied to my emails…for the life of me I couldn’t figure it out ??
www.ads-software.com has no responsibility for the people that use wordpress or what is done with the product. I actually have no idea what you’re asking as your question was oddly phrased, but there’s nothing we can or will do to help you deal with someone who happens to be using wp

In reply to: sunfirenet.comI didn’t catch the “i don’t want a bloggy looking site” line. Yeah, in that area you have not succeeded. It looks as much like a blog as any site I’ve been to.
as far as the colors, at the very least I’d change the gradient. as a general rule it looks better and more natural to have it going light to dark from top to bottom. going from dark blue to light looks a bit odd
