I’d like to reassure anyone reading this that there are no known security vulnerabilities in this plugin.

I use the plugin on my own sites so would certainly fix any security issue right away if it was found.

It is a coincidence that the reviewer got hacked soon after installing it.

Hi slz, I have just release Ad Injection 1.2.0.18 which specifically fixes all the undefined variables I could find.

Please try this version, and if you find that there are still undefined variables remaining do post the error messages and I should be able to fix them quickly.

I can confirm that the plugin does work in the latest WordPress 4.0.1.

I’ve been a way for a while but have just released a minor update, and may be making a few more minor updates soon.

Hi babysavers, have you tried disabling the plugin to see if the problem goes away (in order to verify that the problem is caused by Ad Injection).

Were you using 1.2.0.16 before? The changes between .16 and .17 are very minimal so I it is hard to imagine what could be causing this.

Perhaps this is a temporary issue with your web server?

I can’t reproduce this myself so if you are able to provide any debug information that would be helpful.

Sounds like the ad is being injected before the theme processes the content. Try tinkering with the priority of Ad Injection (in the advanced tab).

Hi, You can do this with widgets (just create one widget per tag). You can’t really do it for the in content ads though, unless you write PHP in the ad box to control the ad selection for you.

Unfortunately not ?? Right now I don’t have any time to work on the plugin. It is possible that I might much later in the year, but I can’t make any promises.

Hi robertliu, what king of adverts are you using (e.g. AdSense)? Do the ads have any JavaScript that could interfere with the infinite scroll?

It could well be that Adblock Plus is deliberately blocking the ads. That is what it is meant to do. I’m afraid I don’t really have anything useful to say that would help. But if you do find anything yourself do let us know.

I already replied by email but for anyone else my suggestion was to try another theme. I can’t imagine that Ad Injection would cause this kind of problem. I’m guessing it is your theme’s CSS. Let us know if you have any success.

Hi AminkaOzmun, does Ad Blocker Plus provide any logs on what it is blocking and why? Could it be due to the names of the images, or maybe their sizes?

When you don’t see the ads have you checked the pages HTML to see if the ads are actually there?

Hi Nasho, thank for that – it is interesting information. The main post content should be inserted whilst in the ‘WordPress loop’. I’d suggest you contact the theme author and ask why this isn’t the case.

You could also look at the WordPress default themes and you’ll see what they do to insert content in the loop.

Hi Nasho, it is quite possible that the posts aren’t recognised as standard WordPress posts. Your custom theme might be classifying them as something different. All the logic to decide whether to show the posts or now is in ad-injection.php. The answer might be in there but it is quite a big file. Might be easier to try another plugin (but you may well find the same problem), or try another theme.

Hi Nasho, if you see the ADINJ DEBUG tags on pages but not post that suggests that your theme is doing something interesting (or non standard).

I’m afraid I don’t have time at the moment to look into issues that seem theme specific, but I’d suggest contact the theme author in case he/she does have more time! Good luck ??

Hi jasontucker, yes you can use PHP in the ad boxes. And you can use shortcodes, but only if the plugin processing the shortcodes runs after Ad Injection (you can change Ad Injection’s priority from the UI if necessary).
