In reply to: [Ad Injection] [Plugin: Ad Injection] Injecting a custom fieldHi wigijdk, Ad Injection will by default inject its content after the short codes have been processed. You could try changing the priority of Ad Injection (lower it I think), in the advanced settings to see if that helps.
Hi cyjambo, I do plan to add this feature, but it is not likely to be done soon. Right now it is more likely to be done next year than this year. Unless someone else did the work for me and sent me the code!
Hi shp1367, the template ads feature (see the FAQ) will allow you put the ads in your theme with support for ad rotation. It’ll work as long as you don’t use a caching plugin.
Hi neo1042,
Thanks a lot for the feedback. If it is loading ‘infinitely’ as you said in your first message then that might be your webserver running out of memory for PHP at that point due to the number of tags.
I’ll put this on my list of bugs, and see if I can do something about it sometime.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Ad Injection] [Plugin: Ad Injection] ads on home/main pageHi satguy01, When it next happens have a look at the HTML source of the page to see if the ads are in the source or not.
And when it happens do you get blank squares that are the same size as the ads, or are there no gaps?
You could also turn on Ad Injection’s debug mode, and see if you get any error messages hidden in the source when it next does this. (If you are using a plugin that strips comments out of the HTML you might have disable this behaviour to see the debug messages.)
Hi neo1042, The plugin is definitely working for myself and other people on 3.4.1. Why it isn’t working on your WordPress installation is the question.
You can download previous versions from https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/ad-injection/developers/
In the past few months the updates to Ad Injection have been very minor.
It would be useful for me to know:
o Are you getting any error messages?
o Can you be more specific with where the page stops loading?
o Does using a previous version of Ad Injection help?
o Anything else you’ve discovered.I wonder if Ad Injection is conflicting with another plugin that you have installed?

In reply to: [Ad Injection] [Plugin: Ad Injection] ads on home/main pageAdSense ads only appear if Google have an ad for you. If not they show a blank box. This can happen a lot if the site is new, or if you have only just added AdSense to your site.
I suggest you spend some more time learning about how AdSense works. Understanding AdSense better will help you make more money!
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. That would be a good feature, so I’ll add it to my potential feature list.
Hi Doland, It might surprise you but most people (90%+) want the same ad code in each position! This is because most people use AdSense. The same AdSense snippet is used for each position, but the JavaScript code gets a different ad.
You can get closer to the behaviour you want by clicking on the ‘Re-select an ad for each position on post’. This will randomly re-select an ad for each position. There’s no guarantee it will pick a different one though!

In reply to: [Ad Injection] [Plugin: Ad Injection] ads on home/main pageHi satguy01, If I go to the /hair-removal-articles/ page I can see the ads. I see you are using W3 Total Cache. Maybe you didn’t clear the cache after adding the ads (the cache is usually disabled if you are logged in). If you don’t clear the cache the ads will only appear when the existing pages expire from the cache.
Hi mimiburned,
Did you try the in-page exclusion tags, or the custom field exclusion method?
The ad exclusion methods do work for many other people, so the chances are that you are doing something wrong.
But as you aren’t able to give me more information I’m afraid there isn’t much more I can do to help. Good luck!
Hi mimiburned, You can send me the link privately via the contact form on my website or via the contact link in the plugin admin page.
Are you using a caching plugin? Did you clear the cache after setting the filters for the search page?
Hi mimiburned, Are the ads coming from the Google search widget, or from Ad Injection? I know if you use Google Custom Search they put their own ads in the search results.
If you are sure it is the ads you have added through Ad Injection ads that are showing up can you…
1. Check the FAQ (linked top right) to make sure you have correctly tried all the ways of blocking the ads on that page.
2. Turn on Ad Injection’s debug mode.
3. Give me a link to a page containing the search widget.Thanks.
Hi valustop, This is probably an issue with your theme. Ad Injection just puts your ad code into a normal widget. You’ll probably find the same grey box appears if you insert some other kind of widgets (try some text widgets). Give it a try and that will hopefully confirm that this is a theme issue.
Hi cypherhackz,
The ‘No random ads enabled on this post’ suggest that you haven’t enabled ads for your posts/pages. If you double check the UI do you have green boxes at the top for random ads in your posts?
