see how I put a photo gallery in the left sidebar. Couldn’t that just be thumbnails with links. somebody help me out.

or maybe the stories can be arranged in summaries like a blog page, but not necessarily a blog page. Is there a way to do this on a standard page?

okay so I figured out the logo problem. i know .. I was showered with such eager responses.. lol
So for those who don’t know.. you have to insert the image url into the header php. there’s a YouTube on it.

I gave up on the table.. thanks anyway..

the page editor doesn’t like my CSS.. it keeps deleting it on me.

if I make the table %100.. and the image column 150px wide.. how wide should the text column be?

this is were the plot thickens.. when I apply the width to the column. .. the image sizes up to what it’s supposed to be, and the text drops away from it… like it doesn’t want to be next to it. even if I valign= “top” ..the text doesn’t like it.

I will try some of that in line CSS.. I haven’t tried that yet.. simple html always worked.

okkkk.. soooo let’s say no one here knows anything about this… Can anyone at least give me some suggestions on how to go about finding out?

Sorry for the impatience, but this is kind of leaving me stuck.

Since response is extremely slow in the Word Press forums. In case anyone else new needs to know: When you are adding media to your post, there is a create gallery in the upper left corner of your media selection page. You can then CtrL click to check the images you want and edit them. Remember to click update.

Thanks for your response. I don’t know what you mean by “self-hosted”.
I paid for my domain and access my site through something called iPage.
I appreciate that CSS link. It will be helpful. I learned a little bit about CSS in school. I should be able to figure it out. What I don’t seem to know how to do is find the CSS pages of my site in the WordPress dashboard. How do I access that? And what is Jetpack exactly? I see it on my dash, but is it something I have to pay for?

I got it from WordPress.com when I signed up. It was one of the free “pick-a-design” ones they offer. It’s called Desire. I like it. it’s simple. it works. But why do I have to be stuck with certain things like the font set, or page background? I also need to figure out how to drop in slideshows for photos and art works I want to display. They said everything was easy. I feel like I can’t do anything.
