In reply to: [Events Made Easy] Adding new payment gatewaysHi Franky,
I have now been able to access the Stripe account, and can confirm it is using the latest API version (2022-08-01). And the website is running the latest version of EME.
The Stripe documentation says that the parameters listed above were removed in the latest version:
https://stripe.com/docs/upgrades#2022-08-01But I see that you update EME to use the latest Stripe API on 2022/08/16. So I’m a bit confused. Are there any settings I need to change. Sorry, this is a bit beyond me.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Events Made Easy] Adding new payment gatewaysHi Franky, thanks for your reply.
1) I think I had the wrong test api keys (I was confused because I was still able to add Stripe to a new event). Now I have new test keys ond I am able to add Stripe to existing events. However, now I get the following error when I try to checkout with Stripe:
Stripe\Exception\InvalidRequestException thrown
You cannot use
line_items.amount
,line_items.currency
,line_items.name
,line_items.description
, orline_items.images
in this API version. Please useline_items.price
orline_items.price_data
. Please see https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout/migrating-prices for more information.I don’t have access to the Stripe account so I don’t know if there are other settings there that I need to change.
2) Thanks, I will look into this.

In reply to: [Events Made Easy] PayPal guest checkout sometimes not availableHello again,
Here is some information about PayPal disabling guest checkout:
https://docs.easydigitaldownloads.com/article/862-why-doesnt-paypal-guest-checkout-showWe definitely need to have the option for customers to pay with debit/credit card, and would like to stick with PayPal rather than use a second payment gateway if at all possible.
This is what we have been told by PayPal:
“For a dedicated credit card debit card payment on the web site.
You would need a shopping cart that can use PayPal Commerce Platform (PPCP)
PayPal Product PPCP https://www.paypal.com/uk/business for your site
Upgrade at No Additional Cost To You
This is a new gateway that will give you Debit and Credit Card direct on your site at a discounted rate 1.2% +30p on Debit and Credit Cards and no monthly rental along with a PayPal Button for our Pay in 3 service”Do you know anything about this new gateway, and will it work with the current setup in EME?
If this is not an option to implement, we will look into using Stripe or another payment gateway for processing card payments.

In reply to: [Events Made Easy] PayPal guest checkout sometimes not availableThanks for your reply.
PayPal have suggested we need to use PayPal Commerce Platform for a dedicated debit/credit card checkout, but I think that’s just a way for them to get more money.
I will try with the Legacy PayPal first and see if that makes a difference.

In reply to: [Bushwick] Doesn't display well on ipadHi,
I’ve created a child theme from Bushwick, and I have a question about the iPad responsiveness.
Looking at the media queries in your style.css file, it looks as though I should basically be getting the same thing on desktop and landscape iPad (i.e. min-width: 1024px). And this is exactly what I do get when I test from my laptop using a responsive design bookmarklet (https://responsive.victorcoulon.fr/).
However, when I actually view on the iPad in landscape mode I get the ‘responsive’ version – i.e. the image takes up the full screen and you have to scroll down to see any content.
This happens with both my site (https://www.marthamclorinan.com/) and the Bushwick demo site. Tell me if I’ve just misunderstood something, but I’d really like the iPad landscape view to look the same as on a desktop.
Thanks!
