In reply to: [Post Notif] Adding suscriber manuallyI am not the Developer, but please read this Forum again. Post Notif is not fully compatible with most current WordPress 4.9.x. If 5.x is being released I assume it will go fully incompatible because of new Gutenberg-Editor and other maybe changes in the SourceCode of WP.
However Devon (aka. the Developer) already wrote in this forum he is going to re-write this Plugin anyway soon.

In reply to: [Post Notif] Guttenberg EditorHi Devon,
of course it makes no sense to make already outdated 1.1.5 compatible to Guttenberg.
I have to confess because of the _now_ inconsistent behavior of the Plugin at it‘s current state I switched Plugin to something which is approved to work with Guttenberg as well. Sorry for…
This does not mean I not with testing your upcoming Successor. I am still on board. ??

In reply to: [Post Notif] Guttenberg EditorI do not understand fully what is going on with Guttenberg, because suddenly post-notif is back to work, using the WordPress-Backend. Maybe it was just me doing something wrong to schedule new posts with Mobile-App. But still, you can’t adjust notif-settings in Editor anymore.

In reply to: [Post Notif] Guttenberg EditorOh well actually it is big deal, because Postnotif 1.5 is not longer working with Guttenberg.

In reply to: [Post Notif] Manually sending notificationsThanks Devon.
My Trigger is strong thou … therefore:
* open post-notif.php from post-notif-pluginfolder on wp-content with a simple editor
* change line 25
from * Version: 1.1.5
to * Version: 1.10.10
* save it
* Trigger is satisfied ??Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Post Notif] Manually sending notificationsHi Devon,
having 1.5 around as long as it works as it is very much Ok with me, especially if you would provide Security Updates for this. tbh it is triggering me pretty much this one tiny “one” update always is available in WordPress-Backend. My Inner-Monk is going nuts because of this. ??
IMHO There is no reason for apologize for anything, especially if RL is kicking in.
Like I wrote before and still I am happy to help debugging your “re-written to be” Plugin.
have a good one

@barbara
I would like to drop some words here. It does not need knowledge or special capabilities to test anything because you’re not into the background of programming. I am not in this as well, but I’ve worked in this environment so I am used to get new software and ‘play’ with it.Maybe it’s not the best idea to do this on a LIVE platform, because if a Plugin is new and ‘untested’ strange things could come up and messing with your Website, although every Author is endeavor to avoid anything of this. But things could happen.

In reply to: [Post Notif] Manually sending notificationsYou’re welcome. But tbh I assume Devon is busy with other things in RL, nothing heard from him since then. I wait a little longer then maybe I’ll move to another plugin.
OT: Barbara: URL on your profile is not longer valid?

In reply to: [Post Notif] Manually sending notificationsHey Barbara, I’ve shared a couple of E-Mails with Devon already. He is going to rewrite the Plugin anyway so he kept my E-Mail for this to test his early version then. He did not give a a time-frame when this is going to happen.
Meanwhile I am using the old version of Postnotif with no problems so far. Just one small thing came across: using WordPress-iOS App I have to schedule the new BlogPost ate least for 5 Minutes, then the Plugin sends out it’s E-Mails, otherwise not.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Post Notif] Manually sending notificationsI don’t want to share Version-Details of my Server in public. Thanks for understanding and posting your E-Mail.

In reply to: [Post Notif] Manually sending notificationsHi Devon,
unfortunately I was running into this Issue as well, 1.2 wasn’t working, Pending status is not changing at all, 1.5 is working nicely.
I am running a Root-Server, maybe this could help you debugging 1.2. Just mail me.

In reply to: API calls to you blog have been disabledthx very much Craig, activating JSON in Jetpack did the trick.
sorry to bother. I would have looked into this iOS forum myself, but I wasn’ t aware there is one and I did count this error more to the WP-Update than the iOS app

In reply to: [Pagebar2] [Plugin: pagebar] Pagebar display problemsSometimes you just need somebody to say the obvious *arg*… you are totally right. sorry for this useless post…..
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Pagebar2] [Plugin: pagebar] Pagebar display problemsWell this is not easy to answer, because after the years and all that WP-Upgrades I was customzing a theme pretty much. Just until the author dispeared from the web. It’s an old one of course, but it was good enough. I doubt it is not the fault of the PlugIn, I did something wrong maybe. With WP 3.2 it was just fine as always.
@donncha
Dev.Version is working for me. thx.Forum: Fixing WordPress
