In reply to: Default editor strips out tagsIt seems that this is an intentional change within wordpress, where tags are stripped out and instead writers are expected to use a visual editor.
I have always written my posts in MS Word, including all necessary tags, and then used cut and paste to put it into wordpress. I’d very much like to continue doing thing that way. The classic editor plugin is a good workaround atm but doesn’t quite get me back where I was.

In reply to: All sections below page/post edit area are missing* Fixed *
I deleted the entire installation, installed v4.7.2 (instead of v4.7.3), and uploaded the wp-config.php file. Now, on the EDIT POST or EDIT PAGE pages, when I click on the SCREEN OPTIONS tab, I have the option to enable the sections below the editing area. Previously, clicking this tab did nothing.
I’m definitely calling this a bug with v4.7.3. I hope it is fixed quickly in the next release!

In reply to: All sections below page/post edit area are missingI neglected to state:
- This is a new, unmodified install of v4.7.3
- I am using an unmodified version of the “Twenty Seventeen” theme (although the problem persists in numerous other themes).
- There are no plugins installed. Being a new project, there never have been any installed.
- I have not modified .htaccess in any way.
If anyone else is having the same problem with this version, please let me know. If anyone has v4.7.3 installed and does NOT have this problem, I would like to hear about that as well. It may help determine whether it is a bug or a problem with my install.
Thank you.

In reply to: All sections below page/post edit area are missingYes, I clicked “Screen Options”. Briefly, a blue highlight flashed around the tab. But, nothing else happened. I believe this is normal behavior, as it does not do anything on my other installations either. You are probably referring the the screen listing either pages or posts, where “screen options” allows you to select which columns are displayed for each page/post.
Here is a screenshot showing which screen I’m at:
I’m referring to the area in the lower central area, below the editing area. Notice that all sections are missing.
