Sherry22, I am having the same problem. This year (2021) seems to be the year of the hack. I do forms in php for custom sites and block about 230 IP addresses that send spam. I also use a honeypot to catch bots but I do not see such on this plugin. Wish we had better solutions or could at least offer them to the developers. I will be changing my plugin preference.

I believe I have located the issue. On the blog page I had not listed each post as a blog and I guess the default is “Uncategorized”. When reading the blog other entries were not showing up.
Now I notice there is no option for readers to comment. I will be researching that one next.

I checked the posts and they are marked as public
The dashboard settings show the pages to show at [36]

Thank you contentiskey, I deactivated the plugin and removed it, then reinstalled it and activiated and updated the shortcode on the contact page and now it works. Still miffed as to why the update to a new version messed things up. Thanks for your response.

I am using the responsive theme and it was loaded from the wp theme page
