Is it doing it for new posts, or just for old ones? When I upgraded to 1.5, all of my old posts had the backslashes in the titles (and in the descriptions for my links). I think you can edit them out by hand, if you can get editing a post to save changes (I can’t). I’ve been editing them directly through the database using phpmyadmin.

New posts don’t seem to be affected.

I’m having the same problem using the same build (1/15/2005). Edits don’t get saved, and I can’t change the status of a post from “draft” to “published” or vise-versa.
