In reply to: error install on local hostHard to say where it goes wrong. Probably best to reinstall and go over it again with help of https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/handbook/tutorials/installing-a-local-server/wampserver/
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Auto Installer VS Manually InstallingI prefer the oldskool method. Gives more control over database encoding for a brand new install, and other wp-config.php parameters most WP admins are unaware about. Simply by opening up a SSH connection and arrange everything through CLI.
If you have to ask how to go about a manual install? Then you’re probably better of using an automated installation. Things have progressed since back in the days when it comes to a bare install. In some cases, one would still have to upgrade afterwards, but at least you wouldn’t have to mess about with correct access rights on a files level.
And in both cases install and go over all the settings of https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/better-wp-security/ to change many options after an installation; even those who are forgotten by most server admins and webmasters.

In reply to: [brave-payments-verification] Didn’t workAnd instead of uploading file, a TXT DNS record works too. I hope this helps.

In reply to: [brave-payments-verification] Didn’t workno problems here.On 2nd thought; You’re right. The plugin seems to work (WP backend wise), but the verification file ain’t created;thus site ain’t verified?Something plugin author should attend to.And on 3rd thought ?? After studying the easy source (https://github.com/brave-intl/brave-payments-verification): the plugin creates a WP rewrite rule (instead of a physical file). Might not explain your problem; but easens my fear a little ??

In reply to: [Patreon WordPress] Doesn’t release on datesas shared already by the plugin author, thats not what it is for. And when sticking to Patreon only (which is awesome already), then people are missing out on the power of the WP plugin (free or pro). See https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-create-a-patreon-membership-site-on-wordpress for an excellent review.

In reply to: [Patreon WordPress] Lose the Nag Bar!is that the reason for a 2-star review? Odd. Anyway, there’s a simple solution for that nag (and many others like it), have a look at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-admin-notices/ … takes care of all of them, and allows to restore them just as easily.

In reply to: [Disable Admin Notices individually] simply … excellent !yes I should. However it also shouldn’t produce a fatal error either when trying to activate both. As they are indeed separate. A notice of sorts would be nicer.

In reply to: [Disable Admin Notices individually] simply … excellent !tried to and was going to file a support request about it after the weekend, but as you bring it up now anyway? They cannot co-exist (gives fatal error). Might make sense to you ?? Doesn’t to me when they are two separate plugins, they should be coded as such. Or least not produce fatal errors ??

In reply to: [Disable Admin Notices individually] simply … excellent !if I could give it 10-stars? I would! Already migrated all my WP powered blogs, forums, CMS and other sites to your anti-notification solution (50+ sites in total). Its REALLY that GREAT! Goodbye VC, Elementor Pro and other notice nuisances. And just noticed a donate button in the backend ?? To put my money where my mouth … ehh fingers are ?? keep up the EXCELLENT work!
where can I Find more info about PMPs development schedule? Trello?
As I want to use LifterLMS too. And with no official PMP integration possibility? I then evade PMP, while I rather utilize PMP, as its at the core of most of my projects.
excellent decision! Ever since GoDaddy acquired ManageWP earlier this year, things have been going downhill for ManagerWP, and uphill for MainWP. The default functionality of MainWP is already super nice, the expansions make things even better!
no problems here (next to my other 90+ plugins). And no I’m not the developer; just an user, but couldn’t help but notice your topic ??

RTFM / RTFW? Unfair to give it such a low rating, as it’s indeed covered on the MainWP website. The whole purpose of WPMU is centralized management. Hence MainWP would throw unpredictable situations then anyway, not to mentioned the overhead on remote backups and such. However … what’s the alternative? You found one? As I tried to do something similar last year, and couldn’t find something as powerful.
