I have a Shopify shop being built by a web design agency, that will exist as a sub-domain of my wordpress site. There will be Shopify elements embedded into the WordPress site – product pages with Shopify Add to Cart, and a checkout button which when pressed clicks through to the Shopify-hosted checkout page.

My developer advised that the datalayer capability of the GTM4WP could be utilized in conjunction with Shopify. They referenced ‘gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC’ as working with Shopify. Though I think this is a bit out of their expertise, and certainly my own.

Ultimately I want do to ecommerce tracking at all points of the customer journey, and understand I need to push ecommerce data fro the WordPress product pages with Shopify elements into the data layer.

Is the guidance I should give them then that GTM4WP definitely cannot play a role in this, and that the datalayer requirements need to be coded into the them?

Hi Jordy,

As a workaround I removed the header image and simply inserted the same image as a normal image (the Rolling Stones image), instead of as a header image.

The other images affected are the black/white parallax images on the homepage.I have had to place smaller sized images (1200 pixels long edge) instead of the larger images I would like to insert in order to maintain sharpness on the larger screens.

Is there anything that could be done to enable Retina versions for these placements?

I’m really happy with how the plugin is working on the normally-inserted images, especially in conjuction with Shortpixel’s WebP image serving!

The image generation is executed at the point of upload, right? Maybe Kinsta support mistakenly though it was happening at the point of page load.

I also use Shortpixel for WebP serving with the <picture tag. Any compatibility issues here?

If ‘Monitor changes to posts’ is checked, would then changing the permalink structure cause the appropriate redirects for all the posts to be then created automatically?
I am also planning on changing my permalink structure, to remove the month/date from the current structure so only the post name is shown.
