I used the example with the same product above and the problem is not fixed:

This is the step-by-step detail:

SETTINGS:

1- Woocommerce Custom Stock Status (settings):
– Available on backorder = empty (same as filled)
– Show Stock Status in Shop Page: True

2- Product page variations settings (All):
– Price= 418
– Allow back orders? = “Allow but notify the customer”
– Stock= 0
– Available on backorder= “End of November”

RESULTS:

3- Product list page:
– Status: “Available on backorder” (or what was set in step 1)

4- Product detail page:
– Status (once you select the variation in the combo box ): “End of November”

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem: I use the message “Available end of November” for products with variations. In the product catalog, it shows the default status of Woocommerce “can be ordered”. I filled in all the other Custom Stock Status fields of the variation but it still shows the same.

Anyway it shows correctly, once you select the variation in the combo box on the product page but it confuses the visitors.

It is a great plugin and very essential however, it does not work with variations now. It keeps taking the value of the general settings Custom Stock Status, above that defined in each variation.

That is true but you are reading the posts anyway and you know what is happening. It’s as simple as taking the initiative and open a new post (on any platform) with some solution to the same incident that has been reported so many times.

@maubayuelo I just tried this solution but nothing happens either.

The most incredible thing is that the same problem may have to be solved differently by different users and, nevertheless, those solutions do not work for the rest equally.

The really remarkable thing is that there is no response from the woocommerce team all these months

I found a definitive solution … I returned to Magento after 4 years spending hundreds of dollars on woocommerce plugins to have basic features that do not come in the core ??

I have the same issue: variations with stock manage, stock quantity, price, picture, etc, do not work anyway with stock 1 (shown “out of stock”) but with stock 2 (shown “in stock”)

After reading your comment I think found the solution but try and do not work.

I have 2 attributes: color and size. About 6 variations, all with their price, picture, quantity, inventory management, activated, etc. New product and variations.

The A variation set in stock and quantity 1
The B,C,D variation set out of stock quantity 0

“A” variation is shown as “out of stock” every time for quantity 1. It works fine if set to 2, 6, 20 quantities: it shows “only x available”

I have not found a solution yet

I only add </div> at end of line, and page layout come back to look fine!
