Update-even worse…. after renaming & then restoring plugin folder I have somehow lost most of my plugins! I went from over 60 or so to 8 to update?! No bbPress or BuddyPress plugin & I cannot remember exactly which other plugins I was running! But do not have things like JetPack /Download manager/Sitemap etc etc ??

Thanks for the input-glad you fixed your site.
I have tried your instruction but I keep getting same original error message:

    So I’m still stuck! ??

    Update
I have removed LinkedIn & Digg buttons from my Sociable & my site now loads normally again(so the problem is with LinkedIn & Digg?).
It would be nice if these could be fixed somehow but I have to accept this for now!
    Best wishes

    Hi
I have just activated Sociable plugin on my blog after having it deactivated for along time but it stops the blog from loading at all now(error transferring data…).
    This is a shame!
Is there any way to fix Sociable plugin? I would like to use it again if possible….
    Best wishes

    I have fixed this now.
It has taken me all night to fix as I tried several methods.
In general as my theme is HTML5 I wanted to stick with <nav> element
and use WP 2010 default menu styling with the approach <nav id=”access”role=”navigation”> and keep 2010 css in general (#access{} etc). I tried various other css styling but the submenu would not display over section/aside elements & so was partly hidden by these elements.
Anyway finally I fixed it using mainly 2010 coding as described.
I may later write a more detailed post somewhere on html5 nav menus-(after I do a little more research & experimenting)-I think it could be helpful.

Also I note as usual I am answering my own WordPress question/problem on the forum as I have had no replies! (-sigh…nevermind – this is normal for WordPress/BuddyPress support! DIY is the usual answer…).

I know this thread is getting old but I have a problem with Tweet-this plugin also & this has arisen after I have just tried to update WordPress to 3.3.2.
    Here is my error list:
    Warning: constant() [function.constant]: Couldn’t find constant TT_TH8US_LEN in /home/xxx/public_html/richard-dickinson.com/wp-content/plugins/tweet-this/tweet-this.php on line 1821

I am investigating how to fix this right now….It is mainly an issue with updating to a new WP version as I had to deactivate all my plugins to allow WP to update and now there is some “fall out” with reactivating the plugins!

Meanwhile I have just deactivated Tweet-this plugin & the error messages have gone.
Best wishes to all dealing with Tweet-this plugin & all WP plugin issues ??

    Thanks Mercime.
I know I can count on you for help (as you have helped me before and
it is great to have volunteers giving help too but there seems to be to many queries for too few volunteers = overload!).
Can I contact you on BP forums or is there a better way? I still need help with BuddyPress…

    Hi roclimb

I wish you goodluck with BuddyPress and WordPress.
I have been trialling BP & WP on my site for a long time (6 months or so)and I still have not got it going as I want.
My WP theme is BP compatible as Mercime has replied & she helped me with it.
However since then I have issues and problems. I really wanted BP for forum on my site but I have experienced problems getting a forum running as I want with BP.

I now have many users on my site and many seem to be spammers which I want to remove. Today I have spent more time with my site adding plugins bp-humanity & NurCaptcha in an attempt to cut down robot spam/spammers (& I cannot test these plugins as I would like?).

I came to BP forum to look for help & nowhere can I find a link to my previous posts (I can find these on WP.org). I was trying to message Mercime again for help and ended up here!

As I said, goodluck to you with BuddyPress ??

OK I have had no reply in 3 days so far! Is anyone here (Esmi-anyone?) & does WP care? Rhetorical questions as I know the answers.

However I have edited my custom template code & the php whois script code & the script integrates now with my WP theme/page structure (I’m not sure if it is edited properly but it displays as it should in the page now eg without breaking the page). However the lookup does not return any result after submit now! This is strange as this all works alright in my WebMatrix localhostserver & whois results are outputted there but not in the online site! Again I do not know why-anyone know?

I will keep trying to fix this (I have been at this for about 2 weeks now!).

OK-After somewhile I solved my problem with this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Plugin_Upgrader in…/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 593

It was due to some plugin problem-but what? I have about 60 plugins on my WP multisite (way to many!).

To fix the error I deactivated all plugins and then updated to WP3.3 (after backup of course!?). The update then worked! Then I reactivated all plugins & so WP3.3 is now installed. All good. Hope this helps previous poster & anyone else with this issue/error…

I have the same error on trying to update to WP3.3
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Plugin_Upgrader in…/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 593

I’m sure too there is a simple solution but what?

All my plugins are updated but I suspect it may be an issue with a plugin.

So look forward to help here….
