Okay,

I have solved the issue.
So the original theme had a hidden plugin that was updated through the theme and not the plugins area.
It remained active even when I changed themes which is why it didn’t fix when the theme changed.
Once I updated the theme and found that hidden area, it has started working again.

I do apologise, this one is one me.
Billing had not been activated on the project which of course blocked anything from working.

Thanks for your reply.
I can see it is active with no restrictions in the console.
The API key matches and also has no restrictions.
It is reporting 100% error though, as is Maps Static.
