In reply to: Tweet This " " ErrorDo you mean the Write Tweet page in the admin forms or the Tweet This form on the Write Post and Write Page screens? I don’t have any problem with spaces being converted into plus signs on either of those.
I’ve tested Chinese characters in Tweet This and they worked fine for me. Try using the characters without the # hashtag. This may be an issue with the hashtag screening.

In reply to: Referrer Link (to my site with an unauthorized ad)Sorry I did not see this thread seven months ago! I’ve added writrams.com to the Th8.us whitelist, so short URLs going to your domain will forward directly by HTTP 301, effective immediately.
Esmi is correct — I got the idea from About.com. It is quite effective and I’m sorry it’s intrusive, but I need money to pay my hosting bills, car insurance, electric bill, etc.

In reply to: Tweet This " " ErrorThey don’t show up when I try to tweet your posts. However, I will add an option to use %20 as a spacer instead of + in the next version.

In reply to: Tweet This " " ErrorDon’t worry about it, the + sign is automatically converted to a space by Twitter. The alternatives are using %20 for spaces or putting actual spaces in the URL, neither of which are ideal.
However, if the plus signs are showing up in the actual tweets, we have a problem.

In reply to: Tweet this pluginCan you provide an example or screenshot? When you click the Tweet This link on a post or page, it takes you to Twitter and if you are logged in the title of the post is displayed along with a short URL to that post, but the URL is not actually made into an HTML link until you publish the tweet to your Twitter stream. However, the short URL is generated regardless of usage if you use a URL shortener such as Bit.ly, TinyURL, etc., as defined in the TWeet This Options.
You’re welcome Cosmic Jelly Baby! I have been meaning to start in Tweet This 1.9 but I’ve just been really busy with end of semester stuff.
There is actually a bug in Tweet This 1.8.1 that causes all posts to be tweeted regardless of settings if “‘Send to Twitter’ defaults to checked on unpublished posts” is enabled, but if you keep that unchecked, syndicated posts should not be tweeted and you will just have to remember to check the “Send to Twitter” checkbox under the Tweet This box on the Write Post screen on all posts you want tweeted.
The same bug also applies to pages in a similar fashion.
I don’t know, but I lost a lot of PageRank when I switched to a permalink structure with trailing slashes 4 months ago. https://richardxthripp.thripp.com/tweet-this had PR 6/10, but now https://richardxthripp.thripp.com/tweet-this/ has PR 1/10, because it was not doing a 301 redirect until I switched to basic disk cache. Hopefully Google will update the PageRank toolbar soon and it will resolve itself. I’m trying to sell ad space on my site and the higher PageRank would help.
I use All in One SEO Pack and a plugin called “Redirection” which may have caused the issue.
Thanks jani-u. I have the object cache enabled. 301 redirects work fine with basic disk caching, but I’m wondering if I’m missing out on anything compared to enhanced disk caching?
Seconded, I also want to know how to cache subdomains, external domains, and subdomains implemented through unorthodox means.
I am also experiencing this problem, but I am using W3 Total Cache on WPMU 2.7 in a subdomain blog using WP Subdomains to create virtual subdomains for pages on my subdomain blog in the root namespace alongside the WPMU subdomains. I hacked the core to accomplish this — wpmu-settings.php to be specific. However, I would still like W3 Total Cache to work on these subdomains:
about.thripp.com
contact.thripp.com
domains.thripp.com
index.thripp.com
gallery.thripp.com
portfolio.thripp.com
portraits.thripp.comAs you can see from looking at the HTML source, the W3 Total Cache HTML comment is being inserted at the end but it isn’t optimizing the page at all. Compare to the source code of my home page, richardxthripp.thripp.com, which is minified, gzipped, and fully cached.

In reply to: Tweet This plugin and hashtagsNote: I fixed this bug in Tweet This 1.7.1.
Oh okay, I didn’t think of that. There are checkboxes right near those that say “‘Send to Twitter’ defaults to checked” so I thought it would make sense. The tweeting is still “automatic” in that it is done by your server automatically when you check the box, so I am not going to change the descriptions unless someone else misunderstands them.
Please let me know if you have any problems or feedback on Tweet This in the future!
