Okay, In order to do a conflict test there are certain requirements.
1. Can’t shut down the live site, so I copied it to a staging site.
2. I disabled all the plugins except ultimate membership.STILL, UM PAGES NOT WORKING.
3. I deleted the UM plugin and pages expecting they would be recreated when the plugin was reinstalled. However, when I installed the plugin nothing happened!
Really?! How can an installation app not have the logic to validate and rebuild its own structure? That’s one of the first things I learned when developing applications. When first installed the app must build its own structure. Why disable that functionality? The program needs the logic to monitor and correct basic functionality like missing files.

Yes, it did update after I posted above and it is working.
However, I can only set up ONE email account. If I try to add a fallback the existing one is replaced by the new one.
Is this the way it is supposed to work now?
Thanks,
Richard..
I tried to do a test after the UM update – I filled out the form and got the following error:
“An error has been encountered. Probably page was cached. Please try again.”
I cleared the browser cache and tried again. Got the same thing.
Cached? Where?
Not sure?? Is this progress?
Thank you,
Richard B.

Hello, sorry for the delay, I had a system failure I needed to fix.
Ok, so onward.
Went to look and I did have a USER page with the shortcode [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″] but was returning the previously mentioned error. So, I deleted that page and recreated it with the slug “user” and shortcode [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″]. I went into UM Setting and made sure that under General > Pages the User page was set to USER.
I double-checked the form page and looked to see if there was a page name to call setting, but did not see anything.
I filled out the registration form again clicked the “Register button”…and got: Oops! That page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?
Oh, Joy! Isn’t this wonderful? I am having so much fun today.
What do we do next?

I will give it another try.
After the last message above I deleted Give-WP and told it to delete all the data at the same time. Not that there was anything legally speaking in there to save anyway.
Today I reinstalled the plugin and went through the setup process. Surprisingly, the test worked successfully, where previously it would just sit and spin. I activated live mode and it processes the transaction successfully as well and added the form back into the menu system. Whatever caused the crash was probably cleared by the delete/reinstall process.
+++++++++
As for the email… The email I sent to Give-WP with the crash information used the email address of either [REMOVED]. If you want to look for it. The email on www.ads-software.com is a default account. Creating a different account for every website gets confusing after a while. I like it simple. Developing websites is confusing enough, thank you!
I reset your rating above and will keep the Give-WP. I still stand by my statement above that this Give-WP web page is confusing. When one is frustrated and banging their head against the wall trying to find a solution a lot of so-called obvious bits of information are not always seen.

I submitted 2 emails on your website.
Of which I saw NOTHING directing me to come here to submit a ticket at https://givewp.com/support/.
When I got to: Still have questions? Take a deeper dive into the GiveWP Documentation section or feel free to contact one of our team members. We’re happy to help.
I clicked on the “GET IN TOUCH” button and submitted the email. But NEVER received ANY reply! That was over a 2 monoth period.
After your message, I scrolled down a little more and saw the link to this page.
Your team’s idea of how to design a page is weak. The section The support you need when you need it most. Should have been placed before WHY BECOME A CUSTOMER? As when I saw that it was a change in topic and I saw no reason to continue. Had it been The support you need when you need it most. I would have continued. Give-WP should correct this page. Seek to provide the support FIRST then ask them to become a customer.
There was a system crash & dump that I still have which reported the issue. As it stands now I have uninstalled Give-WP and asked the app to delete all related data at that time. The webpage exists but is inactive and I have no idea what reinstalling Give-WP would have on what is left.
What do you want to do?
P.S. Please get someone to answer the emails from the “Get in Touch” button on your page or remove it!
At this point, I am trying to get the application itself to be fully functional. I installed the plugin and did not get any errors when activated. I assumed it was installed and working correctly. The first thing I did was create a registration form for my user. When I tested it *BANG* I got the error that prompted this query.
As such, the installation of the plugin did not go as planned, thus causing the error. I have no way of knowing if other errors exist as we build out from this point. Therefore, my previous message on how to correct what has happened so far as well as avoid other hidden errors from happening.
Thank you,
PS.
There really should be a tool to verify and/or repair the file structure when this happens. While it may be possible to fix this issue, who’s to say that it won’t happen to another file.Looks like I have a problem with the file structure.
Under the WP-Admin folder, there is NO folder labeled ‘UM’I did a search on the entire file structure for “UM” and found several PHP and JS files that contain “UM”. But these are executable files, not data stores. I searched for variations and all I could find were executable files. No folders were found.
Is there a way to rebuild and/or reinstall the structure?
Thanks,
Thanks, Camp Camba,
This is confusing. The UM Settings page is set to call to USER, and there is a page identified as “User — UM User“. When I open it, all that is in it is the shortcode: [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″]. When I activate the USER page it is opening and the message is the one above, indicating that [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″] DOES NOT EXIST.
Did Ultimate Member fail to create the page or data that is called by this shortcode?
How do I fix this one? Thanks,

In reply to: I can post blog comments, but no one else can.Thank you! That was it. I never even saw that within the posts module.
When I took a closer look with Elementor it had both frames. I deleted the Facebook frame and it is now operating the same on all browsers.
Thank you,
Richard..

In reply to: I can post blog comments, but no one else can. Here is something that I have discovered!
There is apparently a Facebook comment section that is being appended to my blogs that has nothing to do with the WordPress engine.
I cannot see it in Firefox, but it is visible with Chrome and Opera.
It is NOT using the WP database to store the comments.
I have looked for a switch/plugin that may be controlling this, but there is none.I have no idea where the comments are coming from or where they are stored.
They are not connected to my Facebook page and I have no idea how to access them.I would appreciate it if anyone knows what is happening here and poissibly how I can take back control?
Thank you,
Richard

In reply to: I can post blog comments, but no one else can.I am not sure. The comments are set to be active for only 90 days after the post.
I have posted to the current blog and it appears, but my friend tries and it says comments are no longer available. I gave him the link, but thinking he is clicking on an older post.
I logged out of WP and used different names and email addresses and comments are appearing in the comment section.
Don’t know what happened to reactivate them working and not 100% convinced that it is fixed. Time will tell.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I DO NOT want a 16×9 format. I want my book cover image. I tried creating different formats of differing sizes hoping that one would fit. I kept shrinking the size down until both sizes was less than the recommended. With and without the transparent edges, but it is still going to be taller than it is wider, because it is a book cover. Stretching the image is not necessary if you allow the owner to meet one of the image edge pixels. I definition of 600×0 would be more dynamic.
