  • More info to help resolve my inability to connect to the MySQL database. This is the info recorded in the MySQL database on the CPanel:

    Existing MySQL Databases

    richm_wrdp1
    Users in wrdp1
    richm_wrdp1 (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES)

    I am running into this same problem. I do have all permissions for my data base. When I changed my database name to include richm_wrdp1 this is the error message I received: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare check_admin_referer() (previously declared in /home/richm/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php:228) in /home/richm/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 972

    Then when I remove the richm_ from the database name I get the “Can’t select database
    We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the wrdp1 database.” message.

    Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
