Yes, I am using Akismet and it’s not working. I have tried everything suggested in all the WordPress documents I’ve read. That is why I am seeking other possible alternatives.

With help from godaddy I was able to fix the issue. Thank you to those who attempted to help me here.

I have emailed godaddy they will most likely help me with this.

Okay now we’re getting somewhere. If it is not a wordpress issue than it must either be something on my computer or through godaddy the webhost for my site.

I am very new to this and need some sort of step by step instructions. I don’t need to hire anybody just a few polite and helpful people who can help me make sense of the complicated instructions which are found in the link you provided.

emsi, I did see the link. As I mentioned it’s quite lengthy and I can not figure out how to change the permissions. Is there an abbreviated instruction guide that explains this.

This is the main issue right now. I am trying to put a photo into my slider and it will not show up.even when I use the URL. I just tried uploading as an alternative to url and I get this message: “Lead Sister Karen1.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2012/04.

Error lead sister …banner 3.jpg Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2013/07. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

It’s an error message when I try to upload images. They do not upload.
