By the way, I’m sorry I haven’t got back to you about the problem I described in this thread – I really do appreciate your advice. I tried the code you suggested but it didn’t resolve the issue. I also found that it was a broader problem than just the “3” placemarks eg “9” placemarks are also affected in IE9. I need to find some time to have another go at isolating what is causing the issue.

At least I’m glad I didn’t waste your time, and it really was a bug ??

Sorry I didn’t realise that the Sharing component of JetPack also needed to be disabled (because I already had it disabled on my sites).

A poster on the Weaver Forum says there seems to be an incompatibility in Weaver II 1.2 (Pro) regarding jquery scripts (meteor slides etc). This is caused by “Use Menu Effects” (Main Options –> Menus –> Use Menu Effects).

I don’t have this option selected normally. However, selecting it did not stop Meteor Slides from working, so I suspect there is some interaction of options/plug-ins occurring which is affecting some sites.

In any event, watch this thread for a resolution.

Click the Screen Options tab at the top right of the screen and make sure that Featured Image (and any other options you want to have available) is ticked.

I just installed 1.9RC and it is working well with no issues (tested so far in IE8, Firefox, Chrome, opera and Safari). I love this new feature ?? It has the added benefit of being able to quickly zoom into a section of the map simply by clicking on a marker cluster, rather than the old zoom-and-then-drag the map back into the center (or drag-and-then-zoom) which could be rather tedious. And, of course, my maps with lots of placemarks now load faster. A winner all around ??

With Weaver II Pro you don’t need to put any Meteor Slides code in header.php. Have you had a look in the Weaver Forum? For example, have a look at this thread

1.8 seems to work fine for my maps.

I do have a display issue in 1.7 when using IE9 which is still present in 1.8 but I will open a separate thread for that.
