In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingYeah I noticed, this is a very confusing problem something that I cant replicate on my website running v3.0.5, I guess it must be something to do with the theme your using thats all I can think of.
I will do some more testing but its looking more likely that I will infact just add in the functionality of being able to include/exclude posts and pages by id.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingOk very confusing problem, your using v3.0.1 i’m using 3.0.4 I hidden my contact page on my website, and logged out, when I went to view the page by typing in the url as this is the only way I am able to get to the page now it said as the name of the page “Private: Contact Me” instead of just “Contact Me” what works for me doesn’t work on your website, the only thing I can think it can be is the version of wordpress you are using.
Can you update your wordpress to v3.0.5, and try it again.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingOk I am confused as to how its not working for you, I have told this to everyone that has asked for you are asking, both on here as you can see from the guy at the beginning who asked how to do this, told him to do it this way and it worked for him and countless others, and works prefectly fine in my development site.
Do you have a site that you test changes on before putting them live ? if so can you put one page as suggested in the screenshot and one page published as you would normally have it and let me see the links.
also if you are able to create me a login on the test site, you can contact me on my website via the contact us link, to provide the additional information.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingHi Karen,
Can you have a look at this image this is how it should show in your page/post, for it to still be visible and for it to not be on the sitemap by my plugin.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingHi Karen,
You dont seem to understand what it is that I am trying to explain, the pages themselves are still public and will not require a password or anything like that for them to be viewable.
They can be viewed by anyone that knows the url to the pages, so will work perfectly fine for you as paypal will be redirecting the user to the urls and the page will load perfectly fine.
Why dont you just try it and you will see what I mean.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingHi Karen,
I have already explained to you how to do this.
My plugin will only show pages/posts that have a status of published, therefore if my plugin is showing these pages then you have them as published on your blog and therefore they should be shown, if this is not what you want then you need to change the pages/posts to be private.
The status should be set to published first, then change the visibility from public to private, when you have done this wordpress itself will change the status to privately published, and my plugin will no longer display the pages/posts that are set like this on the sitemap.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingIf a page is not in use then should this page not be either deleted or have its status set to draft, at which point it will no longer appear on the sitemap.
Hi eceleste,
Its been like this since v1 of the plugin and I have been trying to fix it ever since then, I have posted on the wp-hackers mailing list about the issue and how to fix it in my plugin, with no response from anyone, I have posted on the forums also about it, and also no response from anyone.
I have tried to use get_posts instead of the query_posts which is the development version available to download if you click on other versions on the plugin website page, but this page does what you said it gives me comments and the comment form in my test site, but I am confused as to why as I have disabled comments for the page that I am using for the sitemap.
I mistakenly got this confused with a bug so I posted on the wp-testers mailing list and was told on there initially to use the method you have mentioned, but then someone else replied and advised against doing this and to use this function instead wp_reset_postdata() which I tried but alas this hasn’t fixed my issue with the get_posts method. You can see the example code that I was told to use here as suggested by the people from wp-testers mailing list https://wordpress.pastebin.com/srRYBqPF
I looked at the page that you have linked and that seems to suggest to put the code in with the foreach loop, I have tried this and this seems to work great for me in my development version I am not sure if you would like to download this.
You seem to be already using the development version as I released it and then realised the issue and rolled back the stable tag to the previous version, care to test this for me ?
Well its on the site, you need to click on other versions and download the development version, in order to do custom post types had to use get_posts wordpress function, but for some reason this function returns comments and the comment form aswell, despite me having comments disabled for the page I am using as the sitemap.
So I have rolled back the stable version to 1.4.7.2 til I find out why its doing this.
The plugin now supports custom post types.
@hundsim my question is not completely off topic, my plugin can be fully translated into another language so when adding any new functionality to it this needs to be considered, it would make no sense having some parts of the site map show up in one language, then another part show up in english now would it ?
Anyway this is something I am currently still testing I have a working sitemap with custom post types, but have not yet released it.

In reply to: [WP Realtime Sitemap] [Plugin: WP Realtime Sitemap] ExcludingHi Karen,
This is a problem you have with WordPress itself and not my plugin, however can you confirm that each page you dont wish to be shown on the site is :-
a) has its status set to “published”.
b) has its visibility set to “private”.If both these are true, then its a problem with WordPress and unfortunately I am unable to help any further, if there not true, then please correct this and you will find it will work just like it does for the other user above.
I am looking into this do you know how custom post types get translated into another language ?
