Do you still have the original Featurific Pro files in your email? You should be able to reinstall them (just like you installed them the first time around).

Very strange. Have you tried deleting the files via telnet/SSH? One curious characteristic that I notice is that the error message that you pasted uses a windows-style directory separator (‘\’) instead of the linux-style separator (‘/’). Perhaps this is part of the problem? (This may explain the “Prohibited file name” error. ?)

I’m the author of the Featurific for WordPress plugin. If there is a security vulnerability, I’d love to hear about it so we can get it fixed. With that said, there are no known vulnerabilities with the plugin.

Featurific has been tested with 2.7 – however, there are some plugins that do seem to conflict with it. I’ve responded to your post on our forum – let’s continue this conversation over there and figure out what’s wrong on your particular installation.
