1) to exclude a category from main page.

In reply to: theme switcherI dont think there was an upgrade on that..but they have come with widgetised version of it..it worked fine for me…but it has one bug..it does not allow us to select which themes to be present in theme switcher..instead it picks up all the themes installed (in themes directory)..so we have to manually move out of that directory, the themes we do not want to appear in theme switcher.

It works on local xammp setup(with wp201). But does not work on server. Should I download latest WP ?(I have 2.0.1)What if I want to remove the category “Uncategorized” from all posts ?
Also, Life was already default…why did it then assign to Uncategorized..?

No plugin; And one time solution as it works on root index.php ! Category removed from both front page and feed. Worked for me ?? [did not see check the feed though but it should work!]Forum: Plugins
In reply to: one category per pageIt is not recreating the wheel. I will remove the posts of a certain category from the main page, and will only be featuring in a page. Please suggest how to do it. I had seen someone suggesting changing the link of the page to something like ….index.php/category/thatone , so that page will fetch the posts from this category. But I am not finding how to change the link to a page. Pages are fetched from database and I can not manually change the url of a page. I dont want to create myself a link because in that case I will have to do everytime I change my themes.
Is there a way to do it at database itself ?The worst part is I had seen the solution in one of the forums, but am not getting it when it is needed today [after desparate 2 hours search]
