    JMES:

Success!!!! I thank you for the advice.

I deactivated all plug-ins and activated them one-by-one.

    The Culprit:

    Post Types Order
    version 1.8.9.

I can’t remember exactly why I installed it, but for now, I’ll keep it deactivated, unless you have any further comments about this and the plug-in.

    Thanks Again

I am definitely within the pages listings. After I click on the Titles triangle, it goes to alphabetical order. However, even if I navigate to something else during the session, such as fusion slider, and do some work there, and if I want to go to a page again, and I click on pages, the list comes up based on publish date, not alphabetical. It’s really annoying, du to the time it takes each time.

James: Thank you for the suggestion, but I am already doing that each time I log into my WordPress site. However, up until a few weeks ago, the list was already showing alphabetically by default when I would log in. If there is a way to change it back to where it shows alphabetically at the start, it would save that extra step and the time. Thanks,

Esmi: I don’t quite understand what you mean. I posted my own query regarding this issue under Plugins & hacks. When I went to my profile, I clicked on my post and saw other posts related to the same issue, including this one. Did I make a mistake in that I am not responding to Bonjovicrzy41’s post without an answer (as opposed to reiterating the same issue? Please advise. I’m a bit confused.

I am having the same problem. I even went directly to my youtube videos and turned the “show related videos” feature back on and off again, but I am still getting the related videos showing at the end of my wordpress pages (using Avada Theme).

Hope someone can come up with an answer.

In addition to re-activating the Hide Youtube Related Videos, I went directly to my google account, accessed this video and unchecked the box that enables the viewing of related videos after the video stops. I copied the code and re-inserted it into my wordpress page (Avada). However, it still displays the related videos at the end of the video. Any advice?

So, if the website name is (for example) nuts.com and if a page in the website is named “salted”, the permalink would be https://www.nuts.com/salted. Is the slug field there just to make it easy to insert the page name (or what you call the “slug”) at the end of the permalink address?

Thank you for your time on this. I guess I am surprised that setting the page width would not be one of those things that gets done simply, as I would think that this would be a standard request.

Befor starting a website (not as a blog) is there an easy way to see what width each theme uses as a default?

    WPyogi:

Actually, I meant to ask it as a general question, since I have not really done anything yet to start my actual page. If I am starting a new page, and want to have a page (or the whole site) that is 1000 pixels wide, can I adjust whatever default setting there is through the theme editor screen, or does this have to be done through code for each page?

I went to Dashboard, then appearance, then Theme, then Editor, then looked on the right side below (at the top is the word “Templates”. There were about 3 links pertaining to style sheets. I am uncertain what to look for in the code. Do I look for the term “branding #s and look to make a change next to display: from something to none? When searching for a particular phrase withina large block of code, is there a search mechanism, or do I copy and paste it into something like a Word file and do a search in there?

Yes…you are definitely dealing with a real newbie/amateur.

I am using Twenty-Eleven 1.3, but I want a blank, dark page to work with. My site is https://www.werenovate.net

I would like to remove the search box and be able to insert graphics/text at the very top of the page.

1- Can graphics be moved manually in the edit page (other than left, right and center, or do I have to do this with some code. I have limited exposure to writing or reading php/html code.

    Thanks, Ron
