I had just installed the plugin only to install this one snippet. There are no other snippets.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Gzip compression does not workI have the same issue. I’m using a VPS and I checked with the hosting service. I said, I rand a compatibility check for W3, and it said mod_deflate was “Not Detected.”
Tech support replied:
============
“Hello,According to Apache conf 4 of the 5 modules are enabled:
LoadModule env_module modules/mod_env.so
LoadModule expires_module modules/mod_expires.so
LoadModule deflate_module modules/mod_deflate.so
LoadModule filter_module modules/mod_filter.soThe mod_ext_filter is not installed.
I don’t know why exactly this test is failing as running similar tests via
command line (e.g. via curl) shows that the 4 listed modules are enabled
and available. ”
============Everything seems to be in place, but it’s not working. There is no GZIPing going on.

I don’t get this. I downloaded the plugin mentioned above, but every time I try to duplicate a Single in the Theme Builder, it turns it into a Template, and then I can’t assign it to anything. Where’s the assignment options?
Thanks so much.
When I turn off minification, I see this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mnifb73ahe5pqu9/Screenshot%202018-03-29%2015.42.18.png?dl=0
actually, yes, I do have most of those errors without minification. And no, there’s no other optimization plugin.
Line 59 refers to a font-awesome css file, which Hummingbird shows as “Already compressed” and can’t be uncompressed.
There are quite a few errors reported in the Console, but I’m not sure which one is related to this problem.
You can see a screen shot here:

That doesn’t seem to work. The css files that contains that font spec either says it “can’t be compressed” or that it’s “already compressed” and I can’t uncomplress it. These css files are original to the theme. I set the fonts from within the theme customization and not in the CSS file itself.

In reply to: You don't have permission to attach files to this postIn case anyone’s reading this, the other thing I discovered to day is that at one point a couple of years ago, the post_id numbers made a sudden jump from a 3-digit number to 10-digits. Turns out, I cannot upload an image to any post with those large numbers. Something screwed up the sequence, and it is hindering my ability to add images to the posts.
Please, please help.

In reply to: You don't have permission to attach files to this postThankfully this thread is still open, because I haven’t resolved the issue yet.
In an attempt to figure this out, I created a fresh WP install on my testing server. Out of the box, the site had no problem importing images to posts.
However, as soon as I imported the WP XML file from the live site, the problem reappeared. Since the fresh install has no plugins, I can only deduce that there’s something in the content that’s causing this. Anyone have any possible explanations?

In reply to: You don't have permission to attach files to this postDecode. But it also happens when I use Twenty Fourteen.
Incidentally, the previously uploaded images are mysteriously disappearing from my Media Library as well. There are dozens in the uploads folders, but the library only shows 2.

In reply to: [Event Registration] Admin Emails?Except that sometimes the admin is already burdened by other tasks that might keep them from remembering to log into the site all the time. This is essentially an inconvenience foisted upon the admin, alleviated only by buying an extra plugin to perform a task that most of us would expect to see built in.

In reply to: [WP Frontpage News] Drag and Drop: Pro feature? Other issues…OK, update: The problems cited above were while using Chrome on a Mac. In Firefox, the drag and drop seems to work better, but either it’s not perfect or I’m unclear on how to use it. The photos still do not float left or right. Text, title, and date appear either above or below image.

In reply to: [WP Frontpage News] Drag and Drop: Pro feature? Other issues…Thanks for the update, but after reinstalling I’m still having an issue. I can’t make the Title, date, or text wrap around the thumbnail. I also can’t put any of those elements in the top or the bottom, only on the left or the right. Help?

In reply to: [WP Frontpage News] Drag and Drop: Pro feature? Other issues…Also, the link to the presale question area is the same I went to before. When I click on the “Ask Question” button I’m taken to the login screen. Since I don’t have an account, I click on “Register” but that takes me to the page with all the subscription options. How is that “pre-sale?”
