Oh, I tried that option, but either it doesn’t show enough of the image (though is clear) or the site title must be pushed down.

I first tried the TwentyTwenty theme and another roundabout for a homepage header issue- made it static and added blocks to a new homepage for Recent Posts and whatever else I had on the regular homepage. Problem was, the layout still looked different than everywhere else.

Another thing I tried last night was switching the theme (to TwentySeventeen) and the upload issue remained, so I switched back. Today I realized TwentySeventeen would be easier for me to get the look I want so I switched again and, for the fun of it, checked the uploader before doing as you instructed- and it worked!

Good to know what else to try in case it happens again.

I disabled the plugins one at a time, the upload issue persisted, the Health Check said, “The optional module, fileinfo, is not installed, or has been disabled,” I searched that, went into cPanel and changed the php to 7.4, and had to select the extension fileinfo. I logged out, cleared the cache, logged in again…the issue persists.

Is it now a hosting issue? Everything else with WP works.

Even after this Additional CSS, there is too much space between the header banner and category title. Please clarify what to do or what was meant in the other post by replacing code.

Yup, upon reinstalling I noticed a checkbox for Multisite. All good now.

Feel free to delete this.

For now, I used Additional CSS, though the space for the TwentyTwenty header remains.

I really appreciate the time and hope someone else benefits from this. Unfortunately for me, I now have to try another plugin or method.

It already worked. The question is how to remove the default header from TwentyTwenty. Both are showing. Your response in the other post mentioned replacing code.

Then let’s take this the final step. What are one or two relevant template files?

I searched the directories and don’t see any other category.php, don’t see archive.php, and trying other files didn’t work. The handful of other files I tried were in wp-content->themes->twenty-twenty and, from there, ->template-parts.

I tried that before, tried it again…and get WP’s “…critical error…” message. That’s copying the code from here into the category.php file in wp-includes. If that’s really it, then I’ll have to move on to another method.

Ignore or delete. Instead of pages with posts and relying on code changes, I’ll use the less-desirable /category outputs.
