If you know how to use Mailchimp, you can easily set up a campaign there to deliver new posts to your Mailchimp list regularly, using your RSS feed. Mailchimp will lead you through it step-by-step, and the thing is free until you reach a certain very high threshold, at which point you will have had lots of time to figure out how to pay for it.

Whether you set that up automatically or do it manually, you’ll be working through your Mailchimp account, not directly from your website/Wordpress install.

I’m also seeing a text wrap problem with Gmail on Mac desktops. When I preview email campaigns in Mailchimp, the text also fails to wrap, printing through the image instead. A refresh sets it back to normal, but that’s not doing me any good on the newsletters, where readers see the error.

The problem is not showing up on Gmail with my PC running Windows 7.

No, unfortunately, under users, edit, that’s the only option available: “no role for this site”.

OK, mostly solved – a plugin update of Broadstreet Ad Server and WP Ad rotator solved the missing widget issue.

The recent news excerpts are still behaving weirdly.

Well, I’ve solved the problem: I switched to Events Calendar, with a $60 Community Events add-on.

Not a big fan of Events Manager – so many hoops to jump through, all the suggestions for bugs amount to telling you to manage the setup properly. Events Calendar took a tenth of the time and works without any issues.

Yeah, did that, too.

It says:

“Submit Your Event
Unauthorized Access

You do not have the rights to manage this Event.”

But, subscribers DO have permission to edit events. And it doesn’t change when i also give them permission to publish events.

I’m stumped.

Unfortunately, that also appears to be set correctly. It will let me submit events as an admin, but subscribers can’t no matter what I do.

Seems something is going screwy in the code, rather than the settings…

Also, this happens with all the plugins disabled.

Hi, Alicia – Thanks for writing this plugin! It solves a big need no one else seems to be addressing!

Unfortunately, the plugin isn’t returning any results from the secondary site in my network (set up as a subdirectory, with all the requirements met). I’ve also made sure I have a results page with the shortcode on both sites.

Do you have any idea what might be the problem? I’d love to get this thing working – thanks again for getting us this far!
