In reply to: Can't stop spam registrationsDoesn’t appear to be. Like I mentioned, these “users” aren’t even showing up as users or members, they aren’t appearing anywhere within the site – I’m just getting the emails. The site is working fine – I’ve scanned it for exploits, malware, hosting provider says everything looks good.

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Does this work with BuddyPress installed? Thanks MRA – I did find it after your last post…I appreciate the help!
Oustanding support – some of the best support ever experienced for a free version of a plugin!!!
We troubleshot the problem, got it working enough for me to realize that the way the plugin was posting the images wasn’t what I had in mind. Evidently not many, if any, others were trying to use it in that particular way.
So, when I saw how it was placing the image and realized it wouldn’t be what I needed I told Cais, at NextGEN, that we didn’t need 100% solution to this issue.
But they dug deep and got right on it, logged into my site – which I rarely let anyone do – and no problems at all.
Strongly recommend this plugin – if there’s anyone out there that is still not using it! ??

In reply to: [Simple Download Monitor] Does this work with BuddyPress installed?I just copied the whole thing listed under the “Shortcode” section:
[sdm-download id=”16053″ fancy=”0″]What are the different fancy options? I couldn’t find any support so I’m not sure what that is or how to change it.
Thanks MRA!
Thanks Cais – will do.
Hey Cais,
No – those few, on the front page, I broke on purpose. I was testinng another plugin to add images to my existing posts.
The other plugin works but it will take ALL my images and randomly attach them to ALL my posts (it’s called “random post thumbnail”).
I was hoping to use NextGEN to target the images to matching, tagged, posts.
Helo Cais,
Yes, I have that all set as you indicated – you can double check at this link:
https://www.healthitlink.com/test/
I have one gallery titled “ehr” and every pic in that gallery is tagged with “ehr” . Then I have a posts category called “ehr” and I tagged 200 posts in there with the same exact tag – “ehr” and none are showing any images.
Thanks for your response!

In reply to: Mapping users/profiles to a subdomainHey Everyone,
Well, I have it so that my users can use the same username/password to log into either site.
But, they still have to login twice to access both sites. They can use the same credentials, but the have to login on each site separately.
Is there a way that they can login just once and they’re able to go back and forth between the domain and the subdomain without having to login twice?
Thanks!

In reply to: [User Meta Manager] Get "Internal Server Error" when trying to activateYeah, it seems to be a BP issues. The users not converting to members when you install BuddyPress is normal – believe it or not ??
Thanks anyway!

In reply to: [User Meta Manager] Get "Internal Server Error" when trying to activateHey Bully,
I’ve tried it with just that one plugin installed – and with multiple plugins installed.
I’m not sure it will do what I want anyhow – I’m trying to active members in BP that are currently only showing up as users. I had 2500 users and I installed BP and now those users won’t show up as members.
I was thinking I might be able to trick the server by manually manipulating the usermeta ??
Ah – yes, I tried that. It only works on “pending” activations.
What I’ve done is imported users, 2300 of them, from a Joomla site into WP, then I installed BP. So what I need is for the “users” to become “members” – they are not listed under “Pending activations” – only a few test cases are listed under that.
Thank you though – it’s a great plugin! Now, if I could use it to convert users to members ??
Hey BG – neither of those plugins works for me. The “pending” plugin is just for pending – my users from WordPress are not pending so they don’t appear in the list to be activated using that plugin.
And the activate users in buddypress – well, that’s what all the errors are from.
What’s the link to your plugin? ??

In reply to: WPMU or BuddyPress or Both?Hi Mika,
Yeah, I was confusing myself writing it actually!
So, what I wanted was my “facebook” with the ability for each member to have their own blog.
And I found a BuddyPress plugin that actually does it – buddy blog – it works just fine for what I wanted.
Thank you again for your help!

In reply to: WPMU or BuddyPress or Both?Hello Mika,
Yes, they were. I had used a plugin called AMU (I think) to import the users into WordPress, then I installed BuddyPress.
I posted the question in the BuddyPress forums and everyone said there’s no way to do it without purchasing something…which seems very strange…;)
