  • Good idea. I have requested assistance many times with no help whatsoever. Using another gallery seems the sensible solution.

    I am a premium customer.
This is the 6th time that I have written to you about GPS coordinates not showing up in photos taken with Sony cameras.
We have 2 high end Sony cameras in my family, a DSC RX10M4 and a DSC RX10M3. Both display the same issue. Multiple other cameras work fine. In frustration at your lack of reply, I have delved into the issue myself.
I have discovered that if I use any EXIF editing program to change the EXIF:Make tag from SONY to Sony then Gmedia reads the GPS coordinates properly. Since this is a weird problem, I tried editing photos with a hex editor and discovered that if I change the 1st occurrence of SONY in the jpg file to SONy i.e. only changing 1 byte in the file, then Gmedia reads the GPS coordinates properly. If I change SONy back to SONY, then it breaks again.
Since Sony cameras write the make as SONY in all capitals, can you fix this issue please because it is driving me crazy.

I have exactly the same question. I raised a question about GPS coordinates not being recognized via the developer’s site about 7 weeks ago. I received no reply and so 5 weeks ago I posted the same problem on this forum. I then got a reply saying to submit more details via the developer’s site which I did immediately. Yet again, I received no reply. As I am a premium customer I think that this is very poor support. Even a reply just saying that the issue was being looked into would have been better than being completely ignored. I am not happy.
