I was entering the full URL in the “never cache” field (https://mysite.com/page/) instead of just /page/. Redirect works fine now!Forum: Networking WordPress

It’s been a while since I set up my self-hosted CDN, but I don’t recall having to modify the cname. the instructions I used are listed here: https://wideopensecret.com/2010/08/30/wordpress-multisite/
I don’t think W3TC works using sub-directory config. You need to use sub-domains.
I found that while W3TC didn’t “break” anything when only installed on one site, it didn’t really work until installed on both sites. Are you using sub-domains or sub-directories for your additional sites?
@MileHighTechGuy- Any problems with domain mapping before installing W3TC? Did you activate and configure W3TC separately for every site? Are you using the same Theme for every site? Some themes don’t work with multisite. I got around this by using a different version of my Headway theme for each of my 2 sites.
@philipwalton What I mean is that I didn’t see any performance improvement on either site until W3TC was activated on both sites. I first activated it on my primary site and saw no performance change, but when I activated it on the 2nd site, but sites really popped!
For what it’s worth, I’m using W3TC on multisite with domain mapping with no problems, but I am using sub-domains, not sub-directories. No problems with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin.
W3TC must be activated and configured separately for each site- not network activated.
Also, none of the sites will will be fully utilizing W3TC until it is activated on ALL the sites.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Image browser with 2 galleries on 1 page?Same problem here. Any solutions???
Of course “every site is different because of theme, plugins, server”, but objectives and skill level are a different matter.
I still maintain that there is a lot of good universal information that is inefficiently scattered all of these forums and other sites, that could be gathered together into one extremely useful tutorial.
Thanks so much for this impressive plugin. While there is much about how it works I will never understand, I can see the results!
I’m seeing all changes- some immediately upon browser refresh, such as text, others after emptying the W3TC caches, such as adding a leaf or a theme design change.
I’m just trying to get a better understanding of how it all works and what kinds of changes to the site require what kind of actions in W3TC.
The link launches a very pretty slideshow. Since it’s not working, I have it disabled under the NextGEN settings.
When you click the link [View with PicLens] at https://trianglehomesuccess.com/buy-a-home/fuquay-varina-perfect/photo-gallery/?show=gallery nothing happens.
