In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] page cache disk enhanced – ? characters appearI don’t use cloudflare. This is really bugging me! Pages are displaying fine on every other browser, including chrome on my notebook. I even did a ipconfig/flushdns from CMD prompt. Insane- it’s gotta be a chrome issue.

I just tried this fix on another site, and again I can’t see the results in chrome! Tried clearing the cache as you suggested, using Clear browsing data – Empty the cache and then reload the page while holding shown Shift key, and no joy- still seeing the funky characters.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Update to 0.9.2.6 a Disaster for me Too!The fix, posted here by nisiwi, solved it for me:
Just add
AddDefaultCharset utf-8
to your htaccess file in the wp-content/cache/page_enhanced folder and voila problem resolved!

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] page cache disk enhanced – ? characters appear@nisiwi- I revisited the site after a couple hours, and getting your post, and it’s now fine in chrome.
Thanks so much for posting this solution- it’s great to have Disk Enhanced page caching working again. I’ll implement your fix on my other sites tomorrow!

Your solution to add
AddDefaultCharset utf-8to the htaccess file in the wp-content/cache/page_enhanced folder seems to have worked for firefox and safari, but not chrome, even after clearing the browser cache.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Update to 0.9.2.6 a Disaster for me Too!For me, this issue occurs when page cache is set to Disk: Enhanced. Changing the setting to Disk: Basic eliminates the issue for me.

Submitted bug submission. Tried complete removal and clean install. Still getting the strange mangled text with W3 active.
Thanks for all your work on this amazing plugin. I’m grateful, in advance, for any assistance. I have 3 other sites running W3TC, and reluctant to upgrade ’till I get this figured out.

In reply to: [Facebook Fan Box Cache] Plugin Not Working with WordPress 3.5.1Thanks, Steve, but all I did was drag the widget into the sidebar. I haven’t tried clearing the cache yet- I want to wait until I’ve got time to clean up the mess, but that’s a good point- if it doesn’t work after clearing the cache, then you are right!

In reply to: [Facebook Fan Box Cache] Plugin Not Working with WordPress 3.5.1@supersonic- Steve, it’s working fine on my other site running 3.5, so your theory is not correct. In my case it’s related to either WordPress 3.5.1 or the latest version of my Headway Theme, since I updated both simultaneously.
