I too am looking at the FAQ section and have found the section you are referring to (https://www.fastsecurecontactform.com/configure-the-subject).

I can see that you can use [from_name] and [from_email], however as this document was written in 2011 I would like to think (hope) that any field name can be entered.

From the instructions on the page I would infer that to change the subject you would put:
“Whatever you wanted the prefix to be: [field-you-want-1] [field-you-want-2]”.

I ended up doing a similar thing by installing “Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions” https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/rvg-optimize-database/

Even though the topic hasn’t been resolved I have not yet been able to find an easy solution to this as I think it has more to do with the WP core files than I’d like to admit.

I’ll close the topic off for now.

Thanks James, I thought that would be the case.

Yeah I was going to avoid modifying the core files, but was hoping for an “easy” fix or work around. The problem is that the feed category has several sub-categories (livestock feed being one of them) so there’s no real other way to globalise “feed”. I’ll have a think about alternative naming conventions and see what I can come up with.

I am having the same issue as the OP so instead of creating a duplicate thread hopefully we can both help the OP out.

To answer your question – in my instance I have not enabled the “Enable search results from the web on compose screen”.

Another thing to note (not sure if the OP is finding the same thing as I am): but this error doesn’t actually seem to break anything. The post post’s fine to the website as well as any social media connected through Publicize.

It just seems to be a back-end thing.

I’m not going to provide the URL as I’ve removed all regex entries (not that I don’t trust y’all, I’d be happy to PM it to you if possible) and there would be no point.

There were 4 fields that had regex entries on them.
1 field was limited to letters only;
1 field was limited to alpha-numeric characters only;
1 field was limited to numbers only; and
1 field was an email address.

Prior to the OP date these were all working fine. Not sure if any updates came through that would have ruined it – but all 4 fields started returning errors saying that the text provided in the fields was invalid (even though it wasn’t).

Thoughts? (and thanks for your assistance so far with this issue)

Is there any way to check a log of recent updates?

I’m having the same issue. Hovering over the “insert shortcode” button tells me that it links to javascript:void(); – which I don’t think is an issue itself, but I’m getting no errors in console that point to this plugin so I’m not sure what is going on.

Anyone have any ideas?

I deactivated all other plugins and still had the issue. I’m thinking it could be a theme compatibility problem?
