I can also log into the back-end but the main page is down on a Windows hosting.

I did the following – switched themes, deactivated all plugins, re-uploaded the wp-admin and wp-includes files, changed permalink settings – still no workie.

Hope this gets noticed because we’re dead as a doornail now. Oh, and FYI, our blog is at https://www.mercuryleads.com/lead-generation-blog/.

I upgraded to the latest version at https://alexrabe.de/ and it fixed my problem of not loading the 2nd time in IE8, but now only in IE8 the images are distorted – squished to be tall and thin.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn’t fix the distorted images in IE8 for me – so I don’t recommend going through the brainrot of doing this.

I upgraded to the latest version https://alexrabe.de/2010/12/05/nextgen-gallery-v1-7-0-rc-1/ which fixed this problem, but now some of the iames are squished – tall and thin – in IE8 only. Dang.

Is there a fix for this?

I second the motion. It works the first time in IE8, but not if you go back to the page. When I put it into the header then as soon as you click on another page the gallery just freezes.

Any solution to this?

I know this cross browser thing just sucks. I started my software development company in 1993 and it has been the bane of our efforts.

I just can’t believe that by adding just a static Front page that the Posts page URL doesn’t exist. I have written software for 20+ years and I would call that a bug. I don’t think this would have gotten past the WordPress developers.

That is what I do not want to do. I just want to know the blog address if only the Front page is set to a static page.

That’s my point, I am not setting the Posts page to a static page. I am looking for the blog address if I only set the Front page as a static page and not the Posts page.

I understand that, but since I have made the Front page a static page did not make the Posts page a static page I am wondering what the URL of the blog page is.

I renamed a page incorrectly.
