In reply to: [Neve] Styling Image Captions DistinctivelyHi @purplecodes, thanks for your reply
I was imagining it like this:
So theoretically that would work if it’s possible to modify it so there’s no gap between caption and image, and some padding around the text. Without that, it just looks weird (or… bad).

In reply to: [Neve] Styling Image Captions DistinctivelyHi @luciamarinescu, thank you again.
I tried implementing the code, but unfortunately it seems like only the bottom half stuck. I don’t see any borders or colored background.
Best Regards

In reply to: [Neve] Styling Image Captions DistinctivelyHi @luciamarinescu, thank you for your reply.
Would it also be possible to have the padding be a different color (I’m thinking a slight beige but if there’s a hex code in the code, I can substitute that myself of course) instead of having a border?
Thanks and the same to you ??

In reply to: [Neve] Change Tag / Social Media Line PositionThat worked, thanks ??
And I’ll have to try again because I couldn’t find these identifiers in the inspector.

Excuse the delay.
I’ve deactivated all plugins, cleared both server and browser cache, and the issue persists, unfortunately.
Have a great day ??
Hey @mateithemeisle
Yeah the width is set correctly.
But more importantly: They’re both category pages, so they both inherit the same settings, so they should both display the same – but they don’t.
I mean, that’s the whole point of the question. Why don’t they behave the same?
PS:
1. Please disregard the news page. I’ve only been talking about the blog and hike pages now.
2. You will not see the issue if you look at the pages now because I’ve implemented your CSS workaround. But if I remove that snippet, the pages go back to being different widths. And the question remains: Why?
Thanks for your reply.
Okay, then I would suggest changing the way the theme works because I can’t imagine a situation in which this would be more desirable than the standard way. You can still set how wide the sidebar should be globally. It also makes no sense that the width setting behaves different with and without sidebar.
I’d call this a bad design choice, sorry.
Have a nice day regardless ??

In reply to: [Neve] Container width in percent instead of pixelsHey, @mateithemeisle
Thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for ?? Now my site should be ready for 4 and above.
Have a great day too
I can’t set the width for category pages. There is no “Edit Page” option for category pages.
Thanks for the tip, but wow that’s a lot of one star reviews for “breaks site” on that plugin.
I tried it the old fashioned way and it turns out it was Yoast SEO of all things. Weird because I didn’t have that issue on other sites where I use it.
I also found the setting that caused it, of course (under Search Appearance / Media). Must be something that was not enabled by default before and I didn’t even realize existed.

In reply to: [Neve] Change Tag / Social Media Line PositionThanks, that almost does it.
Now I’d just need a way to make it specific to a post category, or better yet, to posts that use a three column layout. Because with two columns this new centered layout looks strange.
Also, with the post navigation, for some reason “previous” is centered, and “next” is right alinged. Ideally “previous” would be left aligned.
And the lines above the social media things are still left aligned, but that’s minor.
And finally, do you have a tip on how to find the names of these elements? Because I feel like I could write or adapt some simple CSS too, but I can’t figure out how to get element names like “.nv-tags-list”. When I use the inspector in the browser I get wildly different names.
Have a good day too ??

In reply to: [Gutenberg Block Editor Toolkit – EditorsKit] Plugin slows editor to a crawlHi @clubkert
I tried it with 2021 and it’s the same: All plugins disabled: Normal editor responsiveness. All plugins except EditorsKit enabled: Normal editor responsiveness. Only EditorsKit enabled: editor is crawling.
Also, since the last update my chosen settings don’t stick anymore. All the disabled features are back and won’t stay disabled.

In reply to: [Neve] Container width in percent instead of pixelsHey @luciamarinescu
Sorry, I only got around to trying the solution now and unfortunately it’s not quite what I had in mind. If I’m not mistaken, this only affects the width of the post content in relation to the container, which is still set in stone (in an absolute number of pixels).
I’d like the container width itself to be a percentage of the screen, if possible.
Thanks and best wishes
